A special dance is to be held for murdered 27-year-old bouncer from Romford, Ricky Hayden. Hayden- a well-loved bouncer- was stabbed alongside his father by a gang who tried to steal his brother’s moped from outside their house. The gang who were masked in balaclavas, arrived and left on bikes.
RACE
The London Ambulance Service and the police raced to the scene at Gibbfield Close, Chadwell Heath, at about 1.25 am, where they found well loved Hayden with his 46-year-old dad, Paul- a member of ITV’s security team- with a number of lacerations and stab wounds. His father, Paul, remains in hospital with none life threatening injuries.
UNFORTUNATE
Unfortunately, Ricky was pronounced dead after attempts to save his life failed. His father survived but remains in hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.The 46-year-old man remains in hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening.Two men- a 19-year-old and a 16-year-old were arrested in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of murder and remain in custody at an east London police station.
Dozens of red lanterns were also lit off, as members of the crowd cheered in celebration of the 27-year-old’s life. There were lots of tears on this moving occasion. A special dance is to be prepared for him On Sunday.
A Just Giving page set up by a friend to raise money for Ricky’s funeral has now raised £5,000. A number of tributes were paid to the young bouncer on Facebook.
One read “You always will be in the thoughts of Kosho Team! Rest in peace!”
SPECIAL
The special night, ‘Dance for Ricky Hayden’, is set to be organized at the bar for Sunday night with all money raised to be given to his family. Moving tributes were made by close friends of the dead man. ITV This morning presenters, Philip Schofield and his wife paid tribute to the murdered bouncer.
One tribute paid by Allison Walsh read: “RIP darling very sad thoughts and prayers to you and your family”.
Jodie Roworth wrote: “So sad! RIP Ricky! Thinking of the lovely family! Hope Your dad gets well soon!”
INVESTIGATION
The police investigation is being led by detective chief inspector Andrew Packer of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, who said: “Gibbfield Close is a residential street and while there would not have been many people out and about at the time of this attack, it was a warm night and people would have had their windows open.
“I am appealing to anyone who heard, or subsequently saw, anything suspicious to come forward and speak to police.”
Although the killing was sparked by an attempt to steal Hayden’s moped, many believe the attack was targeted. The precise cause though remains unknown.
Demanding
Bouncers do a very demanding and important job of keeping the peace in clubs, though many are known to sometimes be excessive in their handling of club goers, many times displaying misjudgements that incense their victims. However, there is no suggestion that a personal vendetta against Hardy was what led to the untimely killing of this young bouncer. The attack may well have been targeted at his brother.
The special dance night is expected to be well attended, to give likeable Hardy is n honourable send off.
The eye of media.com heard from a number of sources that Had said he was a very loving and giving gentleman, who stood for principles and justice. The killing is said to have deeply affected the community, some of whom witnessed the attack but were unable to described the masked attackers.
If the police have the right people in custody, they have done a speedy and excellent job indeed.
