Shamed paedophile, Dr Matthew Falder, was a “VIP member” of internet child sex abuse forums, a court has heard.
Dr Matthew Falder was a member of several “virtual communities” of abusers, and in one such forum on the so-called dark web had a “membership rank level of ‘Rapist’”, prosecutors said.
The court was told that Falder- a former researcher at Oxford University- went to extreme lengths to play out many of his depraved fantasies. In one instance, the shame former lecturer encouraged another youth to rape a four-year-old boy. His taste for obscene and fowl practise is beyond belief for a man who studied at Cambridge University. He is an utter disgrace to a top University that would rather his name was deleted from their history.
Weird Falder distributed the images on websites known to be associated with paedophiles and those interested in “hurtcore” – described as material which depicts rape and abuse.
ARROGANT
The arrogant Cambridge academic bragged: “I can’t be caught” when threatened with the prospect of being reported to their parents or the police.
He used anonymous email accounts and online connection software Tor, to cover his tracks.
Falder gained the confidence of others by sending naked images extracted from previous victims, and pretending they were him.
One of his victims told the court: “I feel dirty, like used goods.”
In an emotional statement, the victim added the ordeal had triggered the breakdown of relationships with her parents and boyfriend and forced her to leave home.
“Part of me believes that’s all I am good for anymore – to be abused,” she said.
Judge Philip Parker QC told her she was “exceedingly brave” for coming to court.
FORCE
Falder forced one victim to film herself licking toilet seats, a used tampon and eating dog food, and set up secret cameras in bathrooms to record women and girls naked.
Another was blackmailed into eating his faeces and drinking urine, while the 29-year-old also encouraged the rape of a boy, aged two, by his own father.
The Cambridge graduate has admitted 137 offences related to 46 victims whom he blackmailed, manipulated and deceived.
Falder then shared his material with “hundreds of thousands” of other paedophiles on secret internet forums, prosecutor Ruona Iguyovwe told Birmingham Crown Court on Friday.
She added that Falder’s capture could not eradicate the feeling of the victims that the material now existed “in perpetuity” online, adding that the “virtual abuse” continued
