A neighbour has accused rogue landlord, Robert Crow of causing her hundreds of pounds of damages since he moved next door to her. The woman, a psychotherapist has expressed her nightmare of being the next door neighbour of a hoarder whom she says has cost her lots of money.
The woman, who insists on anonymity for this story, but showed The Eye Of Media.Com the unsightly garden of mr.Robert Crow, which faces her sitting room . It is filled with countless mountain bikes and other rubbish strewn across the garden. The angry woman says she was forced to spend £500 to pay for damage caused by dump neglected for years which rotted her cupboard. She said she also had to pay £900 to get plaster remove and plenty of damp proofing removed. The angry woman in her 70’s told The Eye Of Media.Com:
”I am sick of spending my money maintaining his property. Mr.Crow is totally irresponsible. He is an unhappy teenager in an old man’s body. I had damp coming down the walls which he has refused to repair. I have tried to get my community care lowered, but they refused. Emotionally, he is a toddler, a mean spirited nasty piece of work. I was initially alright with him and had no problem, but then I realised he doesn’t care about anyone. He is thick, the only one good thing he does is feed the birds. He cares about animals, that’s the only thing good about him.
His back garden faces my window, and it is a right dump. At one stage, I noticed my cat had gathered mice from mr.Crow’s garden. I was in total shock. The garden has all sorts of rubbish and it is a fire risk.This man does not listen to what anybody says , he thinks he is always right. It is so frustrating seeing him adjourn case after case, meaning we have to put up with him being her longer. It will be nice to see him go”.
Mr.Crow responded to the allegations angrily. He said: ”These neighbours are talking rubbish. I am not responsible for any damages to my neighbours property. What you have here is a woman who doesn’t know that all she needs is a pipe course to prevent transmission of the damp. Women don’t know a lot about buildings, and I am not being anti women, all I am saying is that this woman is conspiratorial. She and many of her neighbours are ganging up against me. What happens in my front or back garden is none of their business, they should mind their business”.
Mr. crow appears to attach no significance for the neighbours desire to live in a street that makes them proud, and where all the neighbours keep their immediate surroundings in respectable condition for the collective good of the everyone. ”My garden is not a fire hazard. Has any fire happened?” The tension between mr.Crow and his neighbours is intensifying with each passing month. The internal battle with his residents isn’t much easier. Mr.Crow says he will be changing the locks this weekend to exclude his none paying residents, and getting the police to eject any remaining resident who refuses to leave.
”The trouble is even when you lock them out, some will stay in and let the others in when I am out.

BREACH
Crow was in court on February 20 for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order managed to get a barrister hired by a family member to adjourn the case. His counsel argued that mr.Crow was suffering from a myriad of health conditions, and had flu on the very day he was in court. An appeal he lodged following a conviction and a fine of £44,000 was scheduled for February 22, but that too has been adjourned to July 14 after mr.Crow submitted a medical certificate citing illness..
Another frustrated neighbour who lives right across the road from mr.Crow, added her voice to the complaints of her immediate next door neighbour. The woman, a nurse, also insisted on anonymity as she expressed her frustrations against a man whose tensions with Southend Council and his neighbour is turning to an ugly legal war.
VULNERABLE
His time is up abusing the vulnerable and proclaiming that he is a “humanitarian”.
”I feel very strongly that the law needs to be much quicker at closing down predators like Crow. I am still seeking answers on why he wasn’t closed down in 2016 when the council became aware of how utterly disgusting his property is. I have lived in Southend for nearly 30 years and know a lot of people. I have told my story to a lot of people, it is of huge interest.
I am determined to fight every step of the way on behalf of my neighbours to see him gone from this road very soon. When I first moved here 6 years ago I thought he was a bit eccentric and sad. I was polite to him but in May last year when I saw him blatantly dumping his rubbish that is when I started the crusade to get rid of him and back the council. I am not afraid of pathetic abusive men such as Crow et al.
He stands in front of his stairs shouting out abusive language and pointing in our direction. He picked on the wrong woman so did his little friend. I am standing up for all the vulnerable people he has taken advantage of over the last year”.
When confronted with the complaints of his neighbours, an angry mr.Crow said: ”These neighbours are part of a campaign to get me out because I provide shelter for the homeless. They just don’t want me to have the homeless in a conservatory area. They want it just for the elites who don’t care about homeless people. They are all conspiring with the Southend Council who are targeting me.
They serve me with charges but redact information that is key to my case. There case is full of contradictions”. His immediate neighbour branded mr.Crow’s claim to be ”rubbish”. She said: What this man does not get is that he is the problem, not his tenants. He doesn’t know how to mange them, and only desperate people will live in his property. He won’t be able to get any working tenants”.
STRESS
Further stress lies on mr.Crow’s shoulders after one of his friends was charged to court for racism and threatening behaviour to mr.Crow’s neighour. Mr.John Brakes, 70, is accused of trying to intimidate one of mr.Crow’s neighbours by revving his engine and driving violently towards her direction in a threatening manner. Mr.Brakes has also been charged for using an offensive racist word against a black woman who was talking to one of the neighbours about their raging dispute.
He denies the charges, and pleaded not guilty to the charges on February 18, and the case has been booked for June 6th, 2019 at Southend Magistrates Court
