A teenager has been charged over the murder of celebrated doorman Rick Hayden.
A 19 year old man has been charged with the murder of a man and the attempted murder of his father.
Tarrel Hinds, 19 of Manford Cross, Chigwell was charged on Thursday in connection with the murder of Ricky Hayden.
Another teenager, Tommy Roome from Romford was previously charged on September 22
27-year-old Hayden was stabbed after some men with balaclavas approached him outside his home in Chadwell Heath last September.
Mr Hayden’s father was also stabbed outside their home at around 1.25am, as they tried to stop the group of men trying to steal a moped.
Efforts to save both men by rushing them to hospital, failed in the case of Hayden who died from the stab wounds. Hayden’s father had worked with Itv’s This Morning programme. Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby who host This Morning, fought back tears as they paid tributes to Ricky Hayden during one of their live shows. Hayden was well loved in his community. There was a large turn out for his funeral , and on all accounts he was a nice lad. He was committed to people.
The idea of stabbing someone in order to steal their moped is so sad and ridiculous, but there are many useless souls who will go that far to get what they want.The guilty party to this horrendous murder was most certainly the young teenager in school that good parents would have asked their children to avoid. Only a high level of heartlessness and insensitivity would see an individual stab an individual for defending his own property. The CPS believe the individuals charged are guilty, with a high chance of being convicted. We will find out when the case begins. Our bets is that when we trace the history of whoever committed this crime, it will tell the same story. A failure without direction or any authority at home whom they would listen to or respect. There are many such losers who don’t go on to kill, but some do kill without necessarily have planned to do so.
They lack stability in their mind or lives, or fit into crowds with similar groups of individuals who act first and think later. The murderers of Hayden ruined Christmas for his family, but lets hope
the family will finally get justice.
