Birmingham Police Release CCTV Footage Of CarJackers

By Tim Parsons-

Birmingham Police have released footage that reveal the moment a gang of carjackers attacked a man on his own driveway.

The hijackers clearly did not contemplate the possibility there would be CCTV cameras that would capture them in the act.

The 41-year-old car audi owner was approached by four men outside his home, who demanded his car keys from him.

The car owner tried to run to the door of his Birmingham property, but was stopped , dragged to the ground, and subjected to a vicious attack until the keys were released.

Where were his partner and children at the time?  If they were in the house, they must have been hiding in a corner out of fear and calling the police to desperately whisper their nightmare.  Nobody deserves to be confronted by strange selfish men who only have their interests in their mind.

People work hard for their money and don’t need to deal with the trauma that can arise from being robbed at their own doorstep. It is hoped the CCTV footage will identify the heartless criminals.

The gang then drove off in his Audi SQ5 , but panicked and abandoned it for some an unknown reason. The recovered vehicle is being forensic tested at the moment. Birmingham police believe the car jackers were eventually driven to a For focus venue, and it is believed they may have abandoned the vehicle out of fear they would be caught.

Carjackers panic every time they hear the sound of a sirene, and don’t like police cars driving too close to them. The theory is that the car jackers felt every police car or sirene around them was coming for them, and dumped it somewhere.

The attack took place on 15 December in Livingstone Road, Kings Heath shook the victim up.

The attack appears to have been targeted and the carjackers would have had their eyes on the audi for a while and were determined to take it by force. Car jackers sometimes work to order as part of a revenge plan.
