Theresa May’s Deep And Warm Christmas Message

By Lucy Caulkett-

The prime minister said the UK must “forge a bold new role” for the UK outside the Europe

Theresa May said Britain must “seize the historic opportunity” presented by Brexit and “reunite” the nation to promote trade, prosperity and security on the World stage.

She also says that Britain should “proudly celebrate” the birth of Jesus Christ and his message of “forgiveness, love and hope, recalling her own childhood growing up in a vicarage.

The message of forgiveness and hope is positive, but British people who are not Christians would have no need to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.  Christmas is not taken literally in the sense of celebrating the day Jesus was born, especially as he is not believed to have actually been born in December.

Most people celebrate Christmas for the gifts and holidays, although in this sense, Theresa May offers deeper thoughts she wants the country to have as a whole.

Perhaps the prime minister wants to think about the fact a man named Jesus was born and celebrate the principles of love and forgiveness he taught as a positive thing to have in society. Her message of unity following the divisive EU referendum and is an important want to keep as people go out to drink in festive spirits.

“We also think of Christians in other parts of the world who face persecution this Christmas and re-affirm our determination to stand up for the freedom of people of all religions to practise their beliefs in peace and safety.”

Love and forgiveness are familiar words, but strange to many in practise. This are special qualities worth cogitation for those who appreciation their depth

Theresa May’s  comments that Britain has had “much to celebrate” this year, including the nations Olympic and Paralympic success and the Queen’s 90th birthday, suggests an arm of love towards the Queen after the leaked message that she was disappointed that the prime minister had not discussed her plans for Brexit.

“Coming together is also important for us as a country. As we leave the European Union we must seize an historic opportunity to forge a bold new role for ourselves in the world and to unite our country as we move forward into the future.

“And, with our international partners, we must work together to promote trade, increase prosperity and face the challenges to peace and security around the world.”

“So it’s right for all of us to express our gratitude to those who will have to spend Christmas away from the people they love in looking after others: those in our health and care services, those who work with the vulnerable, as well as those who will be caring for a loved one.

“And we thank those in our armed forces, security agencies and emergency services who work all year round to keep our country safe – especially those who will be separated by their duty from their families and friends.”
