By Gabriel Princewill-

The resurfacing of an an article covering the inquest of Caroline Flack has  shed light on the former presenter’s admission to assaulting her former boyfriend, Lewis Burton, and her subsequent tragic death.

The article resurfaced four years after the incident, sparking speculation about the reasons behind its re-emergence.

It follows the IOPC’s  latest decision last month to compel the Metropolitan Police to revisit  one aspect concerning the actions of officers in appealing the Crown Prosecution Service’s decision not to charge Flack,

The Eye Of Media.Com subsequently began investigating the CPS’s decision to originally issue a caution against Flack only to reverse its decision following an appeal by a Metropolitan police officer.

The original article published by Yahoo recounts the heart breaking circumstances surrounding Flack’s suicide, revealing her struggles with mental health and the intense scrutiny she faced amid allegations of assault.

Flack’s admission to hitting Burton, as documented in a police incident report, is a central focus of the piece, highlighting the turmoil she endured leading up to her death.

Notably, the article highlights the coroner’s Mary Hassell’s finding that Flack intended to kill herself and had “fluctuating mental ill health, and also had struggles in the past” and these troubles only increased as she got more famous.

“It was played out in the national press – and that was incredibly difficult for her.

“She faced the prospect of not working in the job she loved, losing a great deal.”

Flack’s case has been emblematic of the intersection between fame, public perception, and personal struggles, prompting reflection on the treatment of individuals in the public eye and the responsibilities of both the media and law enforcement.

The article garners renewed attention on the former television presenter’s death- a reminder of the complexities surrounding Flack’s life and the circumstances that led to her untimely death.

It also highlights the ongoing conversation about mental health support, the impact of media scrutiny, and the need for greater awareness and understanding of domestic violence issues.
