Prince Harry Missed Flight To Be With Dying Queen Because Of Blazing Row With Father Over Meghan Markle

Prince Harry missed his flight to be with his dying grandmother because of a blazing row with his father King Charles III, after the new king told his son it wasn’t appropriate for him to take his wife Meghan Markle with him.

The Duke Of Sussex missed the RAF flight from London to Aberdeen with his brother, Prince

William, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex, and had to take a separate flight after missing the plane carrying the rest of the royals because of the row he had with his father.

Prince Harry was apparently insistent on his wife flying with him to be by the Queen’s side during her final moments on earth, but a phone call by the king objecting to his wishes annoyed him. As a result, Harry landed at Aberdeen without Meghan at 6.35pm, five minutes after the Queen’s death was announced worldwide.

The Duke Of Sussex was undoubtedly sad to have missed his opportunity to say his final goodbye to his grandmother, a feeling made worse by the earlier row with his father.

A source told the newspaper: “Harry was so busy trying to get Meghan to Balmoral and rowing with his family that he missed the flight.”

The Duke Of Sussex was eventually driven through the gates of Balmoral 90 minutes later and declined to have dinner that night with his father, brother and stepmother Camilla. He knew the earlier row would inevitably come up in conversation, and had the potential to escalate even further, which would have been a disaster given the fact his grandmother had just passed away.

The source added: “Charles has an open invitation for Harry to dine with him whenever he is in the country. But Harry was so furious that he refused to eat with his father and brother.

“It was a massive snub. And he got out of Balmoral at the earliest opportunity to catch the first commercial flight back to London.”

Prince Harry was clearly upset his wife wasn’t allowed to accompany him to see the queen in her dying moments, but his father likely felt it was not advisable for her to be with the whole family at that time, given all the drama of the last few years. This would have been difficult for Harry, who loves his wife, to accept.

The following day, Prince William later asked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to walk with him and Kate to see the flowers at Windsor Castle the following day.

Neil Sean, an entertainment correspondent who has appeared on NBC News and Access Hollywood, last week revealed that Meghan Markle had requested a private meeting with King Charles to clear the air.

“She’d now like before they return back to California to have a one-to-one audience with King Charles III,” he said on YouTube. “That’s right—Meghan one-to-one with King Charles. You heard correct.”

‘It’s a very brave move from Meghan herself,’ Sean said. “It would be an opportunity to clear the air. And to explain some of the rationales behind what they’ve been doing over the last two years.”

There has been np update as to whether that meeting was granted and what occurred.

What is clear is that the row between Prince Harry and his father which led to him missing the important flight as an indication that the Duke of Sussex is no nearer to mending the dispute between him and his family. It may have just got worse.
