Piers Morgan Attacked On Twitter For Alleged Covid-19 Scaremongering

British television host , Piers Morgan, is under attack by celebrities for scaremongering. Celebrities including Mario Falcone have attacked Morgan for regularly highlighting the number of deaths on his twitter account .

Morgan, who  regularly post statistics about the latest death tolls and the rate of infection, has continued to use the statistics to discredit the government to the displeasure of some of his followers who are engaging him in a war of words.

Former TOWIE star Mario said Piers had been posting negative stories just to “scare” his followers, and he was joined by Love Island’s Nathan Massey who said the same.

Piers tweeted: “UPDATE: UK # coronavirus death toll spiked by 412 yesterday, not 209 as earlier reported.

“This is nearly four times higher than yesterday & significantly higher than the same day last week. Why? Mario pointed explained that the jump in the death toll is usually due to it being a weekend.

He tweeted: “And people listen to this piece of s***? Knows full well there is a lag over the bank holiday but still posts this to scare you all.

“What an oxygen thief!”

Mario then announced to  his followers that he had been blocked by Piers. He slammed the vocal television presenter. “He is nothing but a self obsessed coward. Do not listen to a word he says!”

His tweet travelled far , but Piers Morgan who could not tolerate the criticism quickly blocked him to minimise the reach of his opposition.

The well known television host is used to pronouncing judgement on his daily Good Morning Britain television show , and is normally up for battle on air or social media.

He cut this one short, probably because he knows the Tower star has a point. Morgan may well be highlighting facts about the death rates, but it can have a sour taste if the same matter is flogged obsessively.

Morgan has been a regular critic of the government’s handling of the pandemic, but himself has been the subject of hundreds of complaints to Ofcom recently.

Mario continued: “At first he was brilliant and helping the NHS… now he is more focused on bringing down the government and scaring the public.

“Never reports days when deaths are low but does when they are higher, even when he knows it’s a bank holiday weekend lag

Another tweet by Lord Natahn Massey accused the television host of scaring the public to hate  their leader.  It read: Used to love piers gone right off him after his outbursts. We are at war whatever way you look at it. We need to stick together in a epidemic like tbis(like they did in WW2), not scaremonger the public into hating our leader”.
