MAN U v CHELSEA PREVIEW

MAN U v CHELSEA PREVIEW

BY RICHARD HAMILTON

By 7.30pm tommorow evening we may be a little closer to knowing who will be crowned as Premiership champions for the 2014/15 season. Chelsea’s trip to Old Trafford could prove to have a major significance in the final run in for the Premership crown. It is fair to say that Chelsea have one hand on the throphy, and only a catasthrophy can hinder The Special One(Jose Mourinho) from getting his hands on his 3rd premership throphy(2004/05, 2005/06). Win tommorow and Chelsea will take a major step towards the inevitable.

A draw doesnt really suit both and a lost for United just further cements Chelsea grip on the trophy. However, Manchester united have hit their usual end of season form and it will certainly be one for the neutral football fan who is indiffrent about the outcome of tomorrow’s game.

INJURY

With news of United latest injurys Carrick, Rojo, Jones and Blind all ruled out for tommorow’s game. As for Chelsea, they are without potentially the player of the year, D Costa. One of Chelsea’s other main striker, Loic Remy, who suffered a muslular injury is still not fully fit and Jose Mourinho their manager, may have to dicede who will be his frontline for the game and could see drogba make a start.

Expect a high octane game with hard tackles flying in, with the probablity of somebody getting a red card are high. Neither will settle for a point, and with Uniteds injuries, it will be interesting to see how Louis Van Gaael sets his midfield up against Mourinho tactics and if Chelsea’s midfield is not carefully contained, Hazard & co could prove too much for United’s makeshift defence. On the other hand, United have got that fight to end the season well.

With Fellani arial presence, and Mata wanting to do well at his old I think we may be in for a draw. As stated earlier, if Chelsea win tommorow it could be significant for the run-in, as they have more than enough to score and retain the ball and get the 3 points

Prediction: Man U 2 – Chelsea 2
