Business woman Amal, has been feeling on top of the world in her brand new car, cruising with her father in Ghana. This publication also heard that her mother was also flown in from Spain to enjoy the company of Fash the Bash in an opulent part of the West African country where the business woman resides with her new husband, Mohammed Odymat .It has been a deep heart to heart talk for the family members
An over the moon Amal, told The Eye Of Media.Com: ”What I think makes the car particularly cool is its exclusivity. You don’t see them everywhere like Range Rovers or E wagons. I just fell in love with it the moment I set eyes on it” . My favourite her favourite car is a G wagon, but that’s 140k”, she said. For someone who prefers a G wagon/Defender aesthetic, but wants something less obvious. the granadier is a very interesting choice she said. She continued: ”my father h had a good time, and has even added more weight since he has been with family. He has been resting well and eating loads”
The purchase of the car topped up a three week period John spent with his daughter in Ghana, away from Nigeria where he owns 12 properties(most of which are rented out), and a football Academy. She is believed to have gone to the West African country to save her father from a marriage she insists is exploitative, and which she believes is partly responsible for the notable loss of weight of the former English footballer.
Daily activities of their time in Ghana were posted on the former gladiator’s facebook page, exhibiting a time of fun, and implicitly taunting John’s wife of three years, who was riled by the absence of her husband. The stay in Ghana has also become something more significant than a holiday, as it has provided father and daughter with an opportunity to rebuild a relationship that was badly strained earlier this year, after Amal publicly raised concerns about her father’s health in a Daily Mail article, and suggested he could be suffering from a mysterious condition

The former gladiator star subsequently responded angrily, rejecting suggestions that he was suffering from any mysterious condition, or that his health was deteriorating because of his long football career. The confrontation resulted in him subsequently posting a recorded message on instagram, in which he defended his marriage and launched a scathing attack against his daughter publicly.
He also conducted a rebuttal interview with The Daily Mail in which he repeated some of the disparaging comments about his daughter he had made in the original instagram video. But whilst in Ghana, the former gladiator star decided to publicly apologise to his daughter, whilst attacking his wife for influencing the discord between himself and his daughter. He blamed his wife for misinforming him about his daughter.
However, we can reveal that the misinformation the former footballer was talking about referred to some of the things he said about his daughter, not the substantive denial of the the contents in the original video. about an alleged deteriorating health.
Fashanu, a happy go lucky straight talker, told this publication during a phone call: ‘I am perfectly fit and well, and there is nothing at all wrong with me. I just don’t like the fact that my wife manipulated me to go against my daughter so much, sowing so much discord. My daughter was looking out for me when she went to the papers. she did not have my permission, but I set the record straight, and that should have been the end of it. But my wife kept pushing, putting me against my daughter. At the end of the day, she is my daughter, and that matters to me.
Asked whether he believed his wife has been exploiting him, as alleged by his daughter, John said ”I know she has been exploiting me. all she does is gab, grab, grab!He insisted he is going for the divorced. Pressed on how he will face his wife after publicly announcing a divorce, Fashanu replied, she’s just going to have to leave. It’s my property she lives in, and if I have to get her another one, then so be it”.
Fashanu’s wife, Vivian, angrily disputes the allegations lveied against her, and claims she and her husband had a good relationship before his daughter came to interfere for the purposes of satisfying her own interests. She denied claims that her husband’s loss of weight is reflective of any sub optimal care on her part, insisting that he is generally picky with food, and does not eat large or solid meals.
Vivian told this publication: ” John eats very well at home, but he refuses to eat solid African food like yam or gari, He generally eats light meals, despite efforts that have been made for him to eat more. Amal has come here to take her father because she wants to get him to agree an unfair deal on the land, so that she can benefit from it”
She accused John’s daughter of having ulterior motives in her decision to take John to o Ghana, alleging that the 37 year old business woman, tricked her father out the property under the pretext of an arranged lunch to a five star hotel where she was staying with her husband, then persuaded him to join her on a trip to Ghana, in order to secretly sign business deals which she knew would be opposed[by his wife Vivian]
She said: ”Amal came here and said she wanted to take the father out for lunch and never came back with him. Next thing we knew, she is getting him to announce a divorce on social media. What she does not seem to realise is that he has to come back to implement the divorce in the courts’. This is all about money she wants to get from her father’s business, nothing else”. But John told this publication that he was fed up of the control and greed of his wife in his business dealings.
During John’s impromptu visit to Ghana, his daughter has taken him to a shop she runs, organised a pampering session for him at a spar in Accra, and introduced her father to many respectable individuals in the country.

Fashanu has also been able to reconnect with people involved in projects and initiatives that matter to him. Among those he has met is Nigerian businessman and media guru, Dele Mamadou, with whom he has discussed projects and ideas that remain important to the former footballer

The meetings have given Fashanu an opportunity to focus on his longstanding interests in business, sport, youth development and projects involving Africa, rather than spending every day dealing with the disputes that have dominated his personal life in Nigeria. Fashanu’s football career made him a household name in Britain. He was a central figure in the famous Wimbledon side that won the FA Cup in 1988, scoring more than 100 goals for the club during an eight-year spell.
He later played for Aston Villa and won two England caps before moving into television, where he became one of the presenters of Gladiators. His links with Nigeria have also been longstanding for the past 13 years, where he has been given an ambassadorial title, and is adulated in the city of Abuja where he has resided for the past 13 years.
WE can reveal that Fashanu spoke with his wife during his stay in Ghana a couple of times before he dramatically announced his divorce on facebook, but has not spoken to her since. Vivian told told The Eye Of Media that his daughter had blocked her oh his phone in revenge, after she blocked Amal ,following the original Daily Mail article which sparked the dispute. Amal says that’s not true, insiisting that John has a mind of his own.
It remains to be seen how the matter unfolds, and whether and when John returns there to face the woman he described on social media as his soon to become ex-wife. Vivian lives in John’s property, and the couple have drivers and a cook, all of whom are paid by John. His football academy in Abuja is still running in his absence.
