The IPCC is to investigate the armed police after 46 shots were fired to kill the three terrorists who attacked and killed Londoners in London Bridge last Saturday.
The media reported that 50 shots were fired by armed police after three men used a vehicle to run over innocent members of the public and kill them. Seven people in total were stabbed and 48 injured in the monstrous attack on innocent Londoners in London Bridge. However, the London press Bureau has confirmed that 46 shots were actually fired and that the situation has been passed on to the IPCC for investigation.
A spokesperson for the press bureau told the eye of media.com ” The incident involving the shooting of three terrorists have been referred to the IPCC in accordance with our standard procedures. Valid questions as to why the police needed to discharge so many shots at terrorists who were stabbing, not shooting, must be asked. In a time when innocent lives are being lost in the hands of terrorists, the last thing any family needs is to lose their loved one to stray bullets coming from a police operation against terrorists.
The armed police are trained and expected to be highly skilled in their operations. When so many shots are discharged in a manner that hospitalizes an innocent member of the public, a review of the tactics used is necessary. There will be no calls for disciplinary action against the arms squad for killing terrorists who wreak havoc on British soil, but the safety of the public even in circumstances of the necessary police intervention in a terrorist situation is of paramount importance. Our safety as a society must not be compromised by the good intentions of the police to kill terrorists who are not only radicalized but may be high on drugs too. Their callous agenda to maim and kill Londoners must not cost anybody who manages to escape the massacre these people are spreading around the world.
Security has now been placed at the heart of this week’s election, especially after one of the terrorists escaped the attention of the security services despite hard evidence pointing to his extreme views, and more than one report by people who knew one of the terrorists. Higher quality measures must be put into place to ensure the armed police are mindful of the safety of the public when shooting to kill terrorists.
