A Downing Street adviser has resigned after publishing an article claiming there are genetic racial differences between black and white people in general, focusing mainly on black and white Americans.
Andrew Sabisky comments suggesting black Americans had a lower average IQ than white Americans has come to haunt him five years after he uttered them on a blog in 2014. .In a comment on a different blog that same year, he said: “There are excellent reasons to think the very real racial differences in intelligence are significantly – even mostly – genetic in origin, though the degree is of course a very serious subject of scholarly debate.”
“Intelligence is largely inherited and it correlates with better outcomes: physical health, income, lower mental illness.Tory MP William Wragg also attacked the British government’s decision to appoint him, tweeting: “Andrew Sabisky’s presence in No 10 is a poor reflection on the government… ‘Weirdos’ and ‘misfits’ are all very well, but please can they not gratuitously cause offence.
Downing Street was criticised for not outrightly condemning those past comments, especialy when asked whether the prime minister agreed with those views, but Boris Johnson’s spokesman said the prime minister’s views are well publicised and well documented.
