DONALD TRUMP BACKING BREXIT

BY BEN KERRIGAN

American Presidential hopeful , Donald Trump, is backing Britain leaving the EU in the next referendum.

America’s most controversial potential president blamed the EU in an interview to Fox News, for the migration crisis, saying it has been a ”horrible thing for Europe. He proceeded to state that the UK would be better without the European Union.
The Republican said he was not making a “recommendation” but his “feeling” was that the UK should vote to sever ties with the EU in its 23 June referendum.

His stance is unsurprising considering his plans to ban all Muslims from entering the U.S if he is elected as next President of the most powerful country in the world. Trump, whose political ambitions has is surrounded by controversy and internal conflicts in his party, will become one of the most powerful and feared Presidents of all time, if he is sworn into the White house early next year. He has a lot of support from Americans in many quarters, and is a man who speaks his mind without fear. At least, he seems to be an honest politician in terms of his intentions, though how he impacts the world if he is elected, is one to be seen.

His views are sharply opposed to those expressed by President Barack Obama, who was emphatic in his support for Britain to stay in the EU.
Obama said last month that Britain would go to the ”back of the queue” for trade deals with the U.S, if it votes to leave the European Union, adding that Britain was at its best when ”helping to lead” a strong EU, and membership made it a bigger player on the world stage”.

Speaking to Fox News, Trump stated:

“I think the migration has been a horrible thing for Europe, a lot of that was pushed by the EU.

“I would say [the UK] are better off without [the EU], personally, but I’m not making that as a recommendation, just my feeling.
“I know Great Britain very well, I know the country very well, I have a lot of investments there.”
He added: “I want them to make their own decision.”Opinion polls indicate that more Brits than not are in favor of Britain leaving the EU, with the issue uppermost in the minds of voters, being  immigration. The view expressed by America’s Presidential hopeful , Donald Trump, in backing Brexit will be good news for Boris Johnson, whose 8 year tenure as Mayor of London ends today.
