Deontey Wilder says he can’t wait to  knock out Tyson Fury when the pair meet on December 1 at the staples centre in Los Angeles. Wilder who holds the WBC title will defend his title against unbeaten Tyson Fury, as he aims to stretch his career record to 41 wins in his sixth defense. Wilder is unbeaten in 40 fights, with 39 wins coming inside the distance, against Fury’s 27 wins. The American who is favoured to end Fury’s unbeaten run, expressed his intention to knock Fury out in a heavyweight title fight that will be the highlight of boxing fans this year.

This fight is the biggest heavyweight title fight in a long time, even though many people expect Fury to loose. Fury is a massive guy who talks,  but after beating Wladimir Klitschko on points in 2015 to become the world heavyweight champion,  he just can’t be ruled out. Fury the lineal champion with a lot of marketability because of his mouth and the fact he has never lost as a professional.

“I can’t wait to fight Tyson Fury in the biggest fight in the heavyweight division and all of boxing,” said Wilder.
“I have tremendous respect for Fury for agreeing to leave England and come to the U.S. to challenge me. I’m the WBC champion, he’s the lineal champion, and the winner of this fight will show the world who is ‘The Man’ in the heavyweight division. As much as I respect Fury, I fear no man and fully intend to knock him out like every man that I’ve ever faced in the ring.”

The fight will be Fury’s third bout since his comeback – after defeating Sefer Seferi and Francesco Pianeta – following a two-and-a-half-year absence.  Fury  did not impress in any of those fight, but  got some valuable rounds under his locker, which many people don’t think will be enough for him to beat Wilder. Wilder has been the most active of the two fighters, fighting regularly and winning, whilst Fury was out on a ban for 2 years .

Many boxing fans believe Tyson Fury has taken the fight for the pay day , but the gypsy man insists he is in the fight to win. Fury is 6ft 9 inches and the shape and condition he comes in will tell us how serious he is about winning. In good shape, Fury has enough boxing smarts to outbox Wilder with his reach and good text book boxing skills, but will have Wilder’s punch to think about.

STAPLES CENTRE

Wilder has been level or behind on the score cards in some of his heavyweight title defenses before his heavy punch won him the fight, and Fury at his best is a well schooled boxer. Wilder may be looking forward to knocking out Tyson Fury because judging from the last two of Fury’s fights, he believes he will definitely beat Fury. and knock him out. A knockout against Fury will strengthen Wilder’s reputation and bargaining power for the long awaited unification fight against Britain’s Anthony Joshua.

The only surprise that may meet Wilder may be that of discovering how difficult it is to beat a big monster like Fury, who is awkward and is agile for a big man with high determination. Fury wouldn’t be surprised if he gets knocked out because he knows Wilder is a knock out artist, who he must outbox and breakdown if he doesn’t want to be another statistic on Wilder’s record.
