Cannabis Smokers Don’t Believe Manifesto Of Liberal Democrats

By Eric King-

Cannabis smokers don’t believe the manifesto of liberal democrats, the eye of media.com can reveal.

Random smokers spoke to in East and South London, all expressed skepticism about the manifesto of the liberal democrats for the upcoming elections.

Only one out of every five smokers we spoke to was optimistic about the manifesto which pledged to Legalise cannabis.

Under the pledge, cannabis will be sold in licensed shops in the way alcohol is sold, and smokers will not need a medical reason to purchase it.

However, the news has been greeted with cynicism by smokers in London. 27-year-old Keith Matthews from Brixton told the eye of media.com:

” nobody believes politicians, they lie a lot. They are just saying this to get voted into power, but once they get in cannabis will not be legalized. Their manifesto will not make a difference to me because I don’t trust politicians “.

Matthews was with six of his friends when we approached him, and all of them concurred with his views. In fact, none of them will be voting in the coming elections.

Tony Peelan from Forest Gate, East London, told the eye of media.com

” I don’t believe what politicians say. I don’t think anyone else should. I’m quite content with my dealer and I think many others are too. I don’t take notice of election pledges like this one “.

INTEREST

Only three of the twelve people we spoke to appeared interested in voting for liberal democrats following their recent manifesto. This is a relatively small sample but may speak volumes in terms of how other smokers will view it.
The plan by the democrats to take cannabis away from criminals may be an uphill struggle if smokers prefer to stick with their dealers. It will mean the likelihood of them being motivated to vote for the Liberal Democrats on the basis of their manifesto is slim.  The Democrats may have to rely on other factors to steal the election.
Even then, the grand goal of displacing the drug market may require them to completely undercut dealers in terms of price, quantity, and quality. They have to first do the unthinkable and successfully beat both the Conservatives and Labour Party.
