BRITISH MAN WANTED FOR SPANISH MURDER ARRESTED IN UK

BY ERIC KING

A British man wanted over a murder in Spain has been arrested  in the UK, after arriving on a yacht along with 17 suspected Albanian migrants.

The unnamed 55-year-old  wanted for murder is currently in custody, due to be questioned over the murder. He and the Albanian men were detained at Chichester Marina in West Sussex. It will be incredibly stupid if he joined illegal immigrants on a yacht, knowing he was wanted for murder.

Spanish authorities had issued a European Arrest Warrant for the Briton wanted for murder. He was held on suspicion of facilitating illegal immigration and the Albanians on suspicion of entering the UK illegally.

The Albanians have also been detained pending Home Office consideration of their cases. They were probably unaware they were travelling with a Briton wanted for murder in Spain.

Immigration has long been a hot political issue in the UK, and may be a key factor in next month’s EU referendum if Britain opts to leave the EU. However, many countries consider Britain a safe haven for settling down, with its alarmingly weak borders.

Only last month month, the National Crime Agency revealed migrants trying to reach the UK are paying up to £13,500 to people smugglers.

Investigators suspect that, as well as the main Channel crossing between Calais and Dover, criminals are using less busy ports including Tilbury, Hull and Newhaven in East Sussex.

Hamshire police were alerted when a light on their mobile phone alerted a passing ship in the Dover Strait.  Spain is home to millions of Brits who moved there to enjoy a cheaper life. The English community there is great, but with the recession, the economy has put pressure on various people to seek short cuts to make money.

HO– USES

Houses for sale in Spain are cheaper to accommodate falling wages, but many Brits in some circles seek all sorts of means to obtain fast money in order to get some of the cheaper houses for rent. A source from Spain told the eye of media.com ” Spain has always had a great atmosphere for British people. We all generally get on well, but fall outs happen when people try to join forces to make money, only to find out someone is trying to pull a fast one and cheat them. It is generally fun, but when people fall out, it sometimes get way out of hand”

The fact this British man is wanted for murder is no proof that he is guilty, though usually when one is wanted for murder in Spain, it is because they have done it or know something about it.
