Boxing fans are keen to see Tyson Fury step into the ring with Anthony Joshua.
After Joshua’s convincing victory against Wladimir Klitschko in Wembley last Saturday has raised interest in fans to see Joshua face Fury.
Joshua knocked Klitschko out in eleven tense rounds , improving on Fury’s points victory after a scare in the fifth round.
After the fight , Fury congratulated Joshua with a tweet saying he had life and death with Klitschko, but ” I played with the guy. Let’s dance, you are a boxer’s dream”.
Fury followed up that message today by saying he can beat Joshua with ” one hand behind my back”.
He further said he is prepared to fight Joshua on his first fight back, adding that he doesn’t even need a warm up fight.
Many hard core and even casual fight fans have expressed an interest on social media to see the pair lock fists in a fight . Eddie Hear has Sid be thinks the earliest that fight will materialize is in April, 2018.
If Fury can get his license back soon, that fight can happen as early as January or February. Joshua will fight next in October or November, Hearns has said.
The promoter says they have to consider their options, especially as Joshua has a rematch contract clause with Klitschko.
TOUGHEST
Klitschko have Joshua his toughest and most competitive fight to date , and will have at least a 50- 50 chance of beating Joshua in a rematch. Joshua was trailing Klitschko on points for at least two rounds before he crushed Klitschko.
Considering Fury is the only other man to beat Klitschko in his 12 year career, it is impossible to say Joshua will definitely beat Fury if they meet.
FAVORITE
However, Joshua will be favorite to beat Fury, who has been out of the ring for 18 months and will not have had more than two fights by the time he meets Joshua in 2018 .
Fury like Klitschko, has more experience than Joshua , but is not a big puncher like the Ukrainian or Anthony Joshua.
MOVE
He does move well for a big man and throws a lot of punches whilst having fun in the ring. It’s a fight that needs to happen, and has.more appeal in. Britain than a clash with America’ a WBC king, Deontey Wilder .
RACE
Wilder may still get their first in the race for a unified title, as America’s big television companies, Show time and HBO are interested in the fight. We can still trust Fury to talk the fight up and raise plenty of interest in a Fury V Klitschko clash.
