Boris Johnson’s Covid 19 Hospitalisation was the most doubted news of 2020.
Brits questioned by the eye of media named the fact the prime minister contracted coronavirus as the news they doubted the most , dismissing the fact it reduced wide coverage and he had publicly acknowledged by name doctors who had helped him in hospital. Prince Charles and Idris Elba were the other two listed as most doubted to have had the virus.
When asked why Prince Charles’s publicised infection was less doubtful than the prime minister, many of those questioned cited his age as the reason it was believable. But they said his age could explain why he could test positive if he had a mild flu- this possibility said to be hypothetical.
Johnson at the time of infection told the world that his recovery could have gone either way, He was visibly affected by the virus, and had to rest for days in Downing Street when he came out of hospital. Matt Hancock also tested positive for the virus, as did other government officials.
However, a number of brits mentioned Johnson being announced to have had coronavirus to ne news they doubted the most, stating that the news was planned to convince the British public to abide by the rules.
Reasons provided include the fact he was never placed under a ventilator many, overlooking the fact he was in hospital as a matter of precaution and received top treatment in hospital.
Johnson had previously admitted shaking hands with coronavirus patients in hospital ,at a time when he was advocating herd immunity.
Most of those expressing doubt in the truth of the prime minister’s hospitalisation were young people between the ages of 18 and 28. Many of the disbelievers were also doubters of the existence of the virus, insisting on a none credible make believe plan by the government.
Mr. Johnson in fairness did look ill after he came out of hospital and was evidently affected by the virus.
The idea that a prime minister would go into hospital pretending to be ill, and getting all the medics catering for him to co-operate with a fabricated story is unrealistic. A lie of such magnitude would no question be one day exposed, and no prime minister would be foolish enough to even consider such a fake story, and expect his colleagues to go along with it without fearing the potentially damaging consequences of it coming out.
Prince Charles was also named by sceptics as one of the most doubted news of 2020. He supposedly was part of a made up plan to scare the public, deceiving the rest of the royal household too.
The doubt is also without credible basis because a doctor would have had to conclude he had the virus, for the news to go out. Any idea that such big internal news, could be created without medical verification shows just how ridiculous members of the public can be when it comes to assessing true news. prince Charles is not known to have shown any symptoms of the virus, but immediately self-isolated to avoid spreading his infection.
In relation to U.S president. Donald Trump, doubters were mostly united in the view that the Trump administration did not fake his Covid infection, but instead, those that tested him reported a positive test just to make Americans take the pandemic seriously.
Trump visibly was struggling to breath the day he came out of hospital, confirming he had suffered from an infection. The president had top treatment to speed up his recovery.
