Boozy Gascoigne Is Beating The Drink In Italian Reality Program

Boozy Paul Gascoigne has been toughing it out with an arm brace as he reaches his fourth week  of participation in an Italian reality programme.

Gascoigne, a British football legend, sported the support for his dislocated shoulder as he chatted with castmates Simone Paciello, Gilles Rocca and Andrea Cerioli on the show.

The TV star, 53, who has  admitted he will always be an alcoholic, but claims he can stay on top of his booze, made a return to the show last month, after being rushed to hospital when he injured himself during an endurance game.

Gazza has now been lined up for mental challenges, including tests on the Italian language, maths and geography quizzes, which will help keep his mind active and occupied. His time in the programme, alongside the mental challenges he is to

The show is shot on a remote desert island Cayos Cochinos in Honduras, in Central America.

Paul’s co-stars include actors Gilles Rocca, Simone Paciello, Vera Gemma, Akshay Kumar, Roberto Ciufoli, Angela Melillo and Francesca Lodo.

Also on show are DJ Daniela Martani, business owner Ferdinando Guglielmotti, model Drusilla Gucci and presenter Elisa Isoardi.

The programme keeps the ex England Ace busy, and by all accounts he hasn’t spent all his time drinking.  In the company of other stars, he has been able to relax and feel appreciated. providing him a much needed therapy not always available to him when living as a regular man back at home in the UK.

Gaza, who once told British reporters that he had once headbutted his father’s corpse as pay back for his sins, has had his fair share of adversity.

The former legend is being paid around 7,000 euros (£5,981) for each week he is taking part in the show, although he is worth a few millions.

According to the newspaper Il Messaggero, he signed a contract for the weekly fee alongside actress Vera Gemma, actor Brando Giorgi, former Italian Strictly star Giles Rocca and actor Roberto Ciufoli.

Insiders say the time has allowed Gaza more time to interact with people who show care and concern for him, leaving the temptation to drink over the limit well under control.

Most alcoholics are driven to booze due to loneliness, depression, and often, bad company with others also suffering from a similar problem.

Gaza made a fortune during his time as an England player in the 90’s, where he scored multiple goas for his country.

Gascoigne in his day earned a record fee £2 million,  as Tottenham  the country’s hottest footballing prospect with Tottenham Hotspurs. In the same year the talented midfielder made his debut for Bobby Robson’s England.
