Prince Harry claims that he and his brother William ‘begged’ their father not to remarry after Princess Diana’s death, in fear that she would become their ‘wicked stepmother’.
In his autobiography, entitled Spare, the Duke of Sussex says he and his brother begged his father not to marry Camilla after his fathers death, fearing she would be their wicked stepmother, and adds that meeting her for the first time was like an injection.
The revelation will only inflames the tension between him and his family was revealed in his book and covered in the press.
Revealed in The Mail Online, it states that the Duke held a secret meeting with William and Charles hours after the funeral of Prince Philip in April 2021 – close to the grave of King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson – but said his father and brother wouldn’t listen to him and claimed not to understand why he had emigrated. He claims his brother and father interrupted each time he tried to explain.
Reflecting a degree of anger and bitterness from Prince Harry, he goes on to reveal that he was attacked by his brother, Prince William who invited him to hit back.
