New Year’s Lottery Winner Of £1.2m Yet To Claim Big Prize

A £1.2 million National Lottery jackpot is yet to be claimed a week after the New Year’s Eve draw.

One lucky new year’s winner is yet to claim their £1,221,799 prize ,after matching five main numbers and the bonus ball in the special Lotto Must Be Won draw.

Winning the lottery is theoretically one of the best ways to start the year for many people, but this 2023 winner is oblivious of their big fortune and probably worrying about how to pay their bills when all they need to do is wave a magic wand waiting for them.

The winning Lotto numbers on New Year’s Eve 2022 were 27, 34, 47, 56, 57, 58 and the bonus ball was 19.

Winners of unclaimed prizes have 30 days to claim, after which the money will go to special causes. All those who played the lottery on new year’s eve are advised to check their tickets and confirm they are not sitting on gold unawares.

The usual £1 million prize was topped up because no ticket matched all six main numbers in the jackpot.

Andy Carter, who advises lottery winners for Camelot, said: “Players should check their tickets and contact us as soon as possible so that we can pay out another fantastic Lotto prize.

“What an amazing way to start 2023, if only the ticket-holder would come forward.”

The winner has 180 days from the New Year’s Eve draw to claim the massive prize.

If they do not come forward within a fortnight, Camelot will reveal the area where the winning ticket was bought.
