By Ben Kerrigan

Billions of dollars were transferred From Nigeria to Turkey by  a group of CIA personnel to induce pro-coup generals, it has been claimed.

The Turkey daily newspaper reported that the money was distributed to an 80 person special team of the CIA and hand delivered to terrorists under military dresses. Retired U.S army general, John F. Campbell, is alleged to have been the mastermind  behind the failed military coup in Turkey. The paper said Campbell also managed more than 2 billion dollars in transactions via UBA bank in Nigeria by using  CIA links to distribute amongst coup and military personnel in Turkey.

Nigeria is known is probably the richest country in Africa, because of its rich natural resources. However, Nigeria is also known to for its alarming levels of corruption.

This makes it unsurprising if money was laundered from Nigeria, especially Turkey is also considered a heavyweight in the corruption department.

The retired general is said to have made at least two -secret visits to Turkey between May and the attempted coup. A total of 13, 165 people have been detained in connection with the foiled coup attempt in Turkey.

A joint indictment of 73suspects in including Gulen was approved by an Ankara court on Saturday, but the court would have been compelled to grant the indictment. No Turkish judge would want to lose their job and be detained under the current Turkish climate.

Turkey’s President, Endogen has referred to his former ally, Gullen, as a traitor. Turkey’s foreign minister, Melt Cavysoglu has warned that Turkish relations with Washington will suffer unless they extradite U. S based cleric, Fethullah Terrorist Organisation (FETO).

America has set its terms for extradition;  namely concrete evidence of guilt. The Nigerian government have been clamping down heavily on corruption, but this latest revelation will highlight the need for a sustained clampdown on corruption in Nigeria.
