Attorney General Needs To Publish Advice Given To Boris Johnson

By Tony O'Riley-

The Attorney General may need to publish the advice he gave to prime minister, Boris Johnson  after it emerge that the advice he gave the Queen to suspend parliament was unlawful. Attorney General RT Geoffrey Cox owes it to the British public to publish the advice he gave Boris Johnson in relation to the advice to suspend parliament.

Johnson has been on the receiving end of  criticism for the wrong advice when it actually fact the responsibility for correct legal advice rests with the Attorney General. Parliament had been chaotic ever since the ruling which has seen parliamentarian Mps utter word in defiance of the court’s judgement. These are Mps that make the law we must abide by and which judges use to make rulings.

The unfavourable judgement has also seen the prime minister suggest a U.S style vetting process of Supreme Court judges, as though to suggest the selection of judges who will deliver rulings that only suit Mps. With so much disappointment about the ruling, it will be advisable for the Attorney General to make public its advice.
