Two drug dealers who carried out a brutal and calculated attack on a rival—blasting him in the face with a sawn-off shotgun before stabbing him in the chest and arm—have been jailed for a combined total of 58 years.
The violent assault, described in court as a savage act of revenge within the criminal drug trade, left the victim with life-threatening injuries and could easily have resulted in his death. Instead, through what prosecutors described as a combination of luck and rapid medical intervention, the man survived an ordeal that has left lasting physical and psychological scars.
