Anthony Joshua,(pictured) the former heavyweight two-time world champion has described Fury as a “fat slob” who looked incapable of putting up a good fight.
Fury, who had previously labeled Joshua as nothing more than a “bodybuilder” with limited skills, faced Ngannou in a crossover boxing match in Saudi Arabia back in October.
The fight proved to be a tough challenge for Fury, as he was dropped in the third round by the mixed marshal arts star as he struggled with Ngannou’s unorthodox style.
Despite the obstacles, Fury managed to secure a razor-close ten-round split decision win, but many observers believe the gypsy man actually lost that fight. The gypsy king looked unconvincing in that fight.
With Fury’s reputation no on the slide, Joshua, known for his impressive boxing skills, seized the opportunity to criticize Fury’s performance. “Bodybuilders up, dossers down.
He just looked like a flat slob that just can’t fight. He says that bodybuilders can’t fight, but he got smacked up by one,” Joshua remarked during an interview with TNT Sports Boxing.

The comments reflect the long-standing rivalry between the two fighters, adding fuel to the ongoing debate over their respective abilities in the ring.
This latest exchange comes at a crucial juncture in both fighters’ careers. Fury, who unified the heavyweight division in 2015, took a three-year hiatus before making a comeback to recapture the WBC belt from Deontay Wilder in 2020.
Fury successfully defended his new title in a thrilling trilogy against Wilder before defeating Dillian Whyte. However, the bout against Ngannou raised questions about Fury’s current form and adaptability in the ring.
However, Fury is set to face Oleksandr Usyk for the unified title, showcasing his continued dominance in the heavyweight division. Usyk, who defeated Joshua twice, has proven to be a formidable opponent, and a victory for Fury would solidify his status as one of the top fighters in the division.
On the other hand, Joshua, after losing twice to Usyk, finds himself further down the pecking order in the heavyweight ranks. He has now been beaten thrice, though avenged his first defeat to Andy Ruiz Jnr, with an uninspiring landslide win in their Saudi Arabia rematch.
His upcoming match against Otto Wallin in Saudi Arabia on December 23 carries significant weight. Wallin, who suffered his only defeat at the hands of Fury, presents a chance for Joshua to prove himself and regain momentum.
Wallin came close stopping Fury, having inflicted deep cuts on his face in a close fight that went the distance. He would lose his unbeaten record that night.

A victory over Wallin could set the stage for a potential clash with Deontay Wilder in 2024. Wilder, a former WBC champion, is also looking for a comeback after facing setbacks in recent years in the hands of Tyson Fury.
Wilder lost a one sided fight against Fury in 2023, before losing a thrilling battle after 11 rounds of war in their trilogy in October of 2022.
The co-feature bout in just over a week’s time against Joseph Parker is a crucial moment for Wilder who needs an emphatic win to keep him on track for a potentially mouth watering showdown with Joshua, adding intrigue to the heavyweight landscape.
The rivalry adds an extra layer of excitement to the heavyweight division, given the potential for Joshua to inspiringly do a demolition job on Wallin, culminating in a dream chance of becoming a prominent force in the division again if he goes on to stop Wilder thereafter.
