Residents displaced by a significant fire at a block of flats in Kilburn Square, Kilburn, North West London, have been rehoused.
The fire which wreaked harvoc was brought under control by around 60 firefighters, averting a potential disaster.

The Eye Of Media.Com has heard that resident have been placed in temporary accommodation following a serious fire in a North London block of flats. The building was safely evacuated before around 60 fire fighters tackled the blaze in Kilburn.
The incident, which occurred on the 13th floor of a 15-storey building, prompted a rapid evacuation and a swift response from the London Fire Brigade (LFB).
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the blaze was successfully contained, although some residents required temporary accommodation.

The Fire Incident
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) received numerous emergency calls regarding a fire in a flat on the 13th floor of a residential building in Kilburn Square.
The blaze, which sent thick smoke and flames billowing into the evening sky, was reported shortly before 7 p.m. on Monday, September 18. The situation was highly visible, leading to a surge of 78 emergency calls to the 999 control room.
Efforts to control the fire began swiftly, with approximately 60 firefighters tackling the flames.
Thanks to their rapid response, the LFB managed to bring the situation under control by 8:10 p.m., just over an hour after the initial alert. The evacuation of residents was conducted without incident.
Emergency Response and Shelter
In response to the incident, Brent Council acted promptly to ensure the safety and well-being of affected residents. A rest center was established at the civic center in Wembley, providing a refuge for those unable to access their homes due to the fire. Additionally, the council arranged a taxi service to assist individuals and families in need of shelter.
Residents on floors 1 to 12 were allowed to return to their properties on the same evening following the successful containment of the fire. However, some households required temporary accommodation due to the extent of damage and safety concerns.
Ongoing Support and Return to Normalcy
Brent Council continues to provide support to affected residents, working diligently to facilitate their safe return home as quickly as possible. At present, three households are still in temporary accommodation until their properties are deemed safe for occupancy.
Cabinet member for housing, homelessness, and renters’ security, Cllr Promise Knight, expressed her gratitude to the London Fire Brigade, the Police, and council officers for their swift response to the incident. She emphasized the importance of fire safety measures and commended the efforts made to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents during this challenging time.
