A young man has been shot dead near Birmingham’s city centre this afternoon. The victim was sitting in his car on St Vincent Street West in Ladywood around 5pm on Tuesday when he was shot. The 23-year-old murder victim died in St Vincent Street West in Ladywood just after 17:00 BST on Tuesday,
The Eye Of Media.Com heard rumours from locals in the area that it was a revenge killing in a town where news of criminal activities spread fast among those who know the victims and any history associated with them.
We were told by reliable sources in the area that the killing was definitely not a case of mistaken identity, but no names of the suspects were given, neither did we ask for them. One certainty is that there appears to be a number of people who know what the killing was about. No assumptions are being made that the killing is a revenge for another killing, as revenge simply means an attack for a perceived wrong done. Murders in Birmingham, London and Manchester often occur against people who are not just at the forefront of some disputed, but many times, just associated with the target.
Sadly, some murder victims are killed just for being a close relation of an individual with whom the perpetrator has a grievance. Many times the cycle of retaliation continues in some of those instances.
Two men, aged 20 and 19, are being treated at hospital but their injuries, but are not believed to be life-threatening No arrests have yet been made. The sad thing about many of the murders is when many people know who the perpetrators or suspected perpetrators are , but stay silence for fear of reprisals or because of a belief that the victim deserved it.
