A 33 year old woman has appeared in court charged with falsely claiming to study at the prestigious Oxford University and making a financial gain of more than £332,000.
Nicola Boardman, 33, appeared in front of magistrates and pleaded not guilty to the charges that date between January 1 2011 and December 31, 2014.
Boardman, previously lived at Fore Street Redruth but gave an address at Trelander East in Truro, and was allegedly fraudulent in claiming she was involved in academic research whilst studying at the university. Oxford University is one of the most prestigious Universities in the country where a lot of geniuses study to harness their life career paths. Most Oxford students were straight A students prior to entering the University, and its students definitely hold plenty of clout by studying there. If the allegations against Boardman are true, she sure was some sort of deceptive genius to achieve that amount of money on false claims. It also raises questions as to why her claims were not properly confirmed before she could accrue such huge sums.
It will be a very interesting case when it plays out. Boardman was bailed and told she must appear in front of a judge at Truro Crown Court in early December.
