Negotiations over the cost of the new baby vaccine which were finally resolved in March, will be rolled out in England and Scotland from 1 September, with Wales and Northern Ireland expected to follow suit shortly afterwards.

This is a very positive move for which the government should be praised in the midst of others thongs that have drawn criticism against the government. Yesterday, a huge rally against austerity measures was massively attended to criticize the cuts to the welfare system. Whilst I have never really been a fan of this administration, I find myself supporting slashes to the benefit system because of the accompanying indolence it creates. Laziness is a cancer to any society, so anything that gets people working is positive.

The cry of a shortage of jobs is not currently supported by evidence, because there are different types of jobs in the country, but people with the option of the welfare state elect to me choosy and fussy. Provided the government succeed in their pledge to boost unemployment, there will be no excuse to be out of work. Any cuts to the NHS will be frowned upon, but as things stand, it’s not too bad.

Leading the world on protection from menangitis is so commendable, and Cameron will predictably convince the country to stay in the EU when the referendum comes.
