Britain Needs a leader who will crack the security puzzle and improve our safety.
With three terrorist attacks in three months committed by people known to the M15, answers are needed.
Our security services have prevented several attacks in the last few years , but more needs to be done to stop those known to the intelligent services, even if no definite plans to attack are suspected. An absence of financial resources is not good enough as an excuse, not when we are the fifth largest economy in the world.
LEADERSHIP
Good leadership means finding an answer to challenging issues like terrorism. All problems have solutions , though not all solutions are perfect. As Britain goes to the polls on Thursday, the loss of innocent life will still be fresh on the minds of voters. Theresa May has promised to keep Britons safe, but voters know that politicians would say anything for their votes.
There can be no doubt that all the leaders of every party have he safety of the British public at heart, but whether they are prepared to do what it takes to achieve this is another matter. Radical measures are needed to deal with modern day terrorism , and that involves a while array of methods and approaches.
PRISONS
If it means building more prisons to keep extremist individuals, let’s do that. Revoking the British passports of those who want to kill us and deporting them to their native home may be an option. Alternatively, they may be arrested and bailed to be at specific addresses indefinitely , or notify authorities of any changes in their residence.
It may require an increased recruitment of more people into the security services to monitor all suspects. Plenty of praise has been heaped on the security services by writers on this site, and their intelligent work truly deserve some credit.
In the midst of that credit is a validated criticism as to how these people succeed in evading them so well to commit these murders. Already , the carelessness of the police in playing down earlier reports of one of this terrorists is being defended by police chiefs. The public is not interested in excuses or coverups, but real action that produces real results .
This is where we will ask ourselves who out of Theresa May or Jeremy Corbyn can best provide that security.
