Staff and customers at a Birmingham’s NatWest bank were subjected to a terrifying ordeal by a lone gun man who barricaded himself and held staff hostage after a bungled robbery.
The gunman reportedly let customers leave the bank, but kept staff under his menacing control. He was arrested when armed police eventually stormed the building and arrested him. What the man intended to achieve by holding staff hostage, whilst freeing customers, is unclear.
He should have foreseen the scenario of eventual arrest and just not been there at all. Customers caught up in the scene took off once released , according to some eye witnesses there.
One eye witness, Sharon Haywood told the eye of media.com ” I saw people running and screaming as though they had just seen a ghost. It wasn’t clear why they were running in different directions, it was pandemonium.”
DRAMA
Birmingham gets its fair share of drama, but this was of a different type. The gun man is an exemplification of wasted lives of people who develop without the right level of attention, affection, or direction. They are the shameful tear away kids who failed to map out their lives smartly.
SHALLOW
Some may have suffered the consequences of having shallow parents who lacked the wisdom or even basic organised life necessary to give them a good start. Parents whose carelessness may have contributed to the child’s downfall, but children who end up robbing banks and scaring the day lights out of customers and staff, are still the scum of the earth.
