Top movie, the beauty and the beast, has been paraded on American tv, giving fans are given a mouth-watering taste of what to expect when the full movie comes out in Match, 2017.
The first trailer of the well-known beauty and the beast for 2017 has been released. Beauty and the Beast is more confident and empowering in its approach, devoid of apprehension, but full of drama and excitement. It is an excellent advancement and extension of the original 1991 animated musical, building up to the final confrontation between the Beast, played by Dan Stevens)and Gatson, played by Like Evans.
Bill Condon, the director of the film, has come out of his comfort zone and lurched into a more expansive and action packed movie. Condon has produced Dreamgirls and the last two twilights; moving to a higher dimension for this carefully thought out and creative bonanza. Set in the South of France, it aims to trigger both nostalgia, and a feeling of the times in 1740, when the original story was written.
Iconic
An iconic dress from the original movie is chosen for the glowing outfit, despite the fact it does not depict the outfit of that epoch in history. Each aspect of the design in deliberate, using special features to enhance its overall impact.
The first teaser trailer was released in the spring received a record 91.8 million views in its first 24 hours, eclipsing other popular movies like Star Wars, including ‘The Force Awakens’ which received 88 million views, and Captain America Civil War which received 61 million views. The teaser trailer focused on Beast’s castle and offered only a glimpse of the beloved princess.
This action-packed adaptation is awesome in it’s casting. The full trailer was paraded on Good Morning America, giving die-hard fans an appetite of what is expected to be the most anticipated movie of 2017, putting other gripping movies in the shade.
The actors and actresses in the beauty and the beast movie have a say on their clothing, as did Emma Watson who plays Belle’s . Watson requested an alteration on her ballroom gown- gift given to her by Madame Garderobe— to make it lighter and flexible in movement. “For Emma, it was important that the dress was light and that it had a lot of movement.
Beast Scenes Filmed Twice
Dean Stevens, who acts as the Beast, had all his scenes filmed twice, in order to mold his act to perfection who essentially had to film all his scenes twice, Producer Condon told the eye of media.com . Stevens had to act out his scene twice, as we shaped the physical movements of his character on set, using stilts to enhance his height. wearing a bodysuit with tracking markers to create a CG rendering of the beast’s body. After that we had him sit and act out his scenes in front of cameras with an ultraviolet face makeup. It appeared very tasking at first, but at Disney, anything can be achieved and brilliantly done”.
Drawing from influences of other film musicals, Condon has put together a blend from various genres to make this movie of the beauty and the beast a killer. Condon draws from Les Mis, Chicago, Singin’ in the Rain, and Cabaret, in the process creating a beautiful concoction of musicals that makes the beauty and the beast the one to look out for in 2017. The beauty and the beast has an appeal that cuts across age, gender, and race, making for an excellent movie which millions the world over will take time out to watch.
