Wide Uproar Over Prince Harry’s Defiance Of Queen’s Instructions

There has been wide uproar about Prince Harry’s defiance of the Queen after he bypassed her strong objections against him announcing a decision to step down as senior royals.

The Queen reportedly made it abundantly clear to her grandson that he should not proceed with any announcement this week about his decision to step down from his role when he requested a meeting with her at Sandringham. However, the Dutch and Dutchess Of Sussex pressed on with their plans much to the dismay of senior members of the royal family.

Prince Charles is said to be incandescent with rage, as several   commentators jumped on the bandwagon of criticising the pair  for their behaviour. Rumours that the Queen and Prince Charles were notified. The official response from Buckingham Palace read:

“Discussions with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are at an early stage. We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through.”

In addition to declaring their decision to “step back,” Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan also shared that their plans to become “financially independent,” that they have a new policy for interacting with the press (which includes dropping the longstanding tradition of working with the Royal Rota), and that they plan to split their time between the U.K. and North America, for the sake of their son, Archie

 

Madame Tussauds reacted to the news by removing   model images of the couple from the royal set, and relocating them to reflect their “progressive new role within the royal institution”.

“Alongside the rest of the world we are reacting to the surprising news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be stepping back as senior royals,” said Steve Davies, general manager of Madame Tussauds London.

Mr Davies added that the couple will still feature prominently at the waxwork museum.

“As two of our most popular and well-loved figures they will of course remain an important feature at Madame Tussauds London as we watch to see what the next chapter holds for them,” Mr Davies stated.

Meghan and Prince Harry‘s statement on Instagram outlined their plan to split their time between the UK and North America while continuing to honour their commitment to the Queen, the Commonwealth and their royal patronages.
