Bobbi Kristina, the hospitalized daughter of Whitney Houston, is on ”her last legs” and ”barely clinging to life” according to reports from doctors, a source has told eye of media yesterday. The worse fears of the family is finally sinking in against all the hopes the family have desperately tried to have. Despair and impending sorrow is evident in the tense atmosphere that has united family members from both the Brown and Houston’s family in a hospital now with heightened security amid a seemingly inevitable demise that now awaits the daughter of what was once a household name in America. Whitney Houston blew the world away with her beautiful voice and outstanding charisma, until her life began to deteriorate with reports of domestic violence in the hands of her husband, Bobby Brown, and then worsened by a drug habit. She was eventually found dead, faced down in a bath tub. Her death has been awash with suspicion of foul play, but no evidence has yet been unearthed to ascertain this view.
Her daughter’s life seems to have ominously followed a similar path, with the same level of suspicion and incertitude surrounding the circumstances of her present condition. Allegations of domestic violence in the hands of her boyfriend, Nick Gordon- a man adopted by Whitney Houston, has been accompanied by claims he was an exploitative individual who stole several thousands from her bank account, indulged in drug taking with her, and had a dubious eye on the huge inheritance passed over to her from her mother’s estate. A $40m law suit has been filed against him, alleging assault, battering and theft. The frightengly uncanny resemblance to the way her mother was found has led many to question whether Bobby Kristina was trying to replicate her mother’s death, though the more prevalent view is the suspicion that something more sinister has taken place here.
Reports given by a confidante of Kristina that she telephone the day before to express fear of Nick Gordon makes for more worrying reading. Apparently, Kristina made plans to meet her friend to discuss her terrifying fear of the man whom she became sexually involved with. That meeting, it is claimed, was scuppered by the unfortunate incident that has paralysed her whole being to this very day. Famous television host, Oprah Winfrey, has been very supportive in her efforts to recommend the best treatment and doctors for Bobbi Kristina, but all has hit a dead wall. Prayers have been offered by her families, and religious churches have been contacted to pray on her behalf in a desperate bid to save her. People to extreme lengths when life is on the line. But at a time when the so called ”faith healers’ of America- (many of whom are wealthy beyond our wildest dreams), have an opportunity to prove they are real, no results have been seen. Arguably, they don’t have it to produce.
”Hope is fading fast, our source told us. Doctors say she is on her last legs, barely clinging to life. Every thread of hope has been exhausted, but not much happening. There have been moments where our optimism has been raised, but nothing concrete in the way of real progress has materialised yet”, we were told.
Access to developments by the media has not been very easy, given the abundance of media interest in America and abroad, insiders talk to very few members of the media, then shut off. Most of the media here in America, make regular reference to information on social media sites, some acquainting themselves with friends and close associates of the family for information. I happened to know a friend of a friend who knew the partner of a family member of the Brown’s, to get some reliable update of developments in one of the most disturbing well publicised traumatic stories in recent years. The Brown’s and the Houston’s have been divided over a number of issues surrounding this sad case, but in the midst of their division, they ahve found some unity. That unity may be superficial for the sake of life of a young girl hanging on a thin thread. The unity may last for the sake of not exacerbating an already terrifying ordeal for them. Fingers have been pointed here and there, and alot more will be revealed when and if this young girl passes away in these very disturbing and suspicious circumstances.
The chances of a last minute miracle of any sort are next to nothing. All that can be salvaged is some legitimate revelation of what really happened to her, and some lessons to be learnt. Whitney Houston left her entire fortune to her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, leaving out her sister Pat Houston, in her will. Bobbi inherited 10% of the $2m when she turned 21 and was due to inherit another 15% when she turns 25, with the rest given to her at 30 years of age. If she dies, all the money will go to Cissy and her two sons, Michael and Gary.
