Uk Exit Polls Show Johnson On Way Back To Downing Street

By Ben Kerrigan-

The Conservatives are on track to win an overall majority of 86 in the general election, according to an exit polls for the BBC, ITV and Sky News indicate.

The Tories will get 368 MPs , exceeding the 2017 result by 50  – when all the results have been counted. The first general election results are due before midnight, with the final total expected to be known by Friday lunchtime.

Exit polls are usually closer to the reality, despite unpredictable deviations in the last few years, but not by much. There are always margins for error in polls, but all indications are that the Tories will win these elections and Boris Johnson would be back in power with a majority. The exit poll was conducted by Ipsos Mori at 144 polling stations, with 22,790 interviews.

EU leaders despise Johnson greatly, meaning a tough task lies ahead of negotiating a deal with the EU. Johnson has vowed to get Brexit done, and may have the backing of parliament if he wins big to take Britain out. He may face MP opposition if the EU present difficult obstacles Johnson insists on bypassing.   Brussels  have recently said Brexit can’t be done until 2021, suggesting many hurdles to overcome before Johnson can take the Uk out  of the EU. It could mean Johnson having to force the Uk out no matter the implications, an outcome that worries many Mps and other party members.

A tory result will be a big blow for the labour party who would have become serial losers of election after several years of defeat. The came close in the last elections when there was a hung parliament, forcing an alliance between the Tories and the DUP.
