Uk Education Secretary Is Right On Grammar Schools

By Gavin Mackintosh-

Education secretary, Justine Greening is right about grammar schools, despite teachers opposition.

A number of teachers heckled Greening as she spelt out her plans for more grammar and selective schools to raise the attainment gap between students from rich and poor backgrounds.

Cries of “rubbish” from teachers and several delegates were an expression of discontent from teachers who feel disadvantaged students will be very left out under Justine Greenings new plans.

The plain truth is that selective schools help students mature in an environment with serious and dedicated students with like minds.

Greening is on the right track in her plans to broaden expectations of high in her call for more grammar and selective schooling.

Primary school students should be driven to compete for those schools, and adjust their standards in preparation for them.

FAILINGS

One of the failings of many primary schools is the absence of a clear structure of high standards with efficient systems of learning that motivate students to aim for the top.

Students who fail to respond to those standards should naturally not be expected to mix with other students who have dedicated themselves to learning and delivered well.

There will always be public none selective schools they can attend, but schools must be entitled to he right to select students of a certain intellectual calibre in order to run an academic environment with committed students.

UNDERFUNDING

Issues of underfunding that constrain the effective running of schools has been highlighted. Some schools have had to reduce lessons and hours spent in school because of cash shortage.

URGENT

The government must attend urgently to genuine claims if underfunding in both primary and secondary schools in order to give teachers maximum opportunities to educate students well.

IDEOLOGY

Greening is pushing Theresa May’s ideology of education in Britain, and it is a very positive one . The eye of media.com has been researching primary and secondary school education in the UK for a while , and is in the process of launching a nation wide initiative in this respect.
