Tyson Fury’s Empty Challenge To Anthony Joshua

Tyson Fury’s Empty Challenge To Anthony Joshua

By Tim Parsons-

Tyson Fury has offered to fight Anthony Joshua in his first fight in over two years.

The former heavyweight world champion who defeated Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 is back on the scene after a two-year drug ban. two-year drugs ban.

Fury who initially stressed that he would not be rushed into a big fight, now insists he does not need a warm-up fight before facing Joshua, despite being out of the ring since he dethroned Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

“As a sporting challenge I lay down the challenge for Anthony Joshua to fight me in my first fight back in over 2.5 years!” he tweeted.

“I’m the best heavyweight on the planet, come prove I’m not? The ball is in your court; don’t let your fans down champ.

“I’m that good I don’t need any warm-ups; I can come off the couch and beat up on [you].

Fury must be off his bunkers, he knows Joshua has been in talks to fight WBO champion, Joseph Parker, in a deal that is nearly completed. The former gypsy champion is just making too much noise when he should be getting into shape and talking about his next fight. Fury has the loudest mouth in heavyweight boxing and has beaten every person he ever fought as a professional. The one man he needs to beat to justify such a loud mouth is Anthony Joshua. A fight between both men with break records in a British ring, but Fury is nowhere near ready for Joshua after being out of the ring so long.

There are many fight fans who believe Fury would beat Joshua when they meet, but Anthony Joshua is the man of today who Fury must beat to gain any real bragging rights. At the moment, Tyson Fury must concentrate on getting back in the ring against a decent opponent, and stop fooling himself and others who may fall for his rubbish that he is ready to meet Joshua. Boxing fans want a real champion, not one recovering from mental health troubles who makes contradicting statements every so often. Fury is welcome back to heavyweight boxing, but the unbeaten heavyweight should wait until he is seriously ready to face Joshua or any serious heavyweight before he starts talking to somebody he is not. Fury against Joshua is a fight the British public would see, but let’s first see him beat any heavyweight in the top 10 and judge for ourselves what he has left.
