Tyson Fury WWE Fight Planned To Avoid Wilder Rematch?

By Tim Parsons-

Tyson Fury may be taking his WWE fight against Brawn Strowman to sabotage the scheduled rematch with Deontey Wilder for February 2020, his actions seem to indicate.

Fury who showed solid heart in beating  former undefeated Swede, Otto Wallin despite suffering serious cuts has signed to meet Strowman on October 26. He has done this knowing fully well that his cuts have only recently been treated with stitches. The unbeaten gypsy man has expressed confidence in beating Wilder in their rematch, after holding him to a surprise draw in December 2018, but now seems to be ready to jeopardise the fight.

“With two big massive guys, you never know what can happen in there.
“But hopefully, touch wood, everything goes well and we roll on to February 22 [when the rematch is pencilled in for].

“I’m concentrating on Braun Strowman in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel for now.

“I only take one fight at a time as I’ve always said. When I get past this one, then we’ll look at the Wilder rematch.” The comments are surprising for a man most thought was looking forward to settling a score with the American puncher, but it could just be that Fury is just different and ready for anything.

DANGEROUS

Wilder looked more dangerous than usual when he blitz Dominic Brazeale in one round last May, after adding nearly a stone of muscle. Analysts believe if Wilder sere to add another stone of muscle by chance, his power may be even more devastating and worry Fury who was knocked down twice by a smaller version of Wilder at 15 stone 3 inches.

Fury, who is one of the fastest boxers for his size is one of the most difficult boxers to beat, but may rather risk loosing to a WWE wrestler and earn multi millions, than lose to Wilder in a potentially devastating fashion.

Wilder has threatened to open up the cuts inflicted on Fury by his last opponent, Otto Wallin, a threat that could affect Fury’s mind more than he is prepared to reveal.

Wilder takes on Luis Ortiz on November 23 in a dangerous rematch which could cost him his world title. The WBC champion is confident of victory and has vowed to knock him out when they meet. Ortiz has lost just the once in 41 fights and has been one of the most avoided heavyweight, beaten only once in 40 fights by Wilder in a thrilling contest that saw the American wobbled badly in the 7th round, but who eventually knocked out Ortiz in the 10th round.

The Cuban at 41 is has good technical skills and very solid on the attack.
