Tyson Fury has derided Anthony Joshua on social media my referring to the world heavyweight champion as a female dog.
Mental Tyson Fury took to Twitter on Thursday evening to post a photo of Joshua’s head photo shopped onto the body of a tiny dog. The stripped former heavyweight champion was pictured walking Joshua on a lead, with the caption: ‘Just took my little b***h out for a walk, she loves it.’ To rub it in even further, he tagged the Waftord-born boxer into the tweet to make sure he would have seen it.
Fury, unbeaten in 25 fights, has long directed abusive language towards Joshua, but would not have boxed for two years by the time he returns to the ring this year, if his application to return is successful. The gypsy giant is currently training with Billy Joe Saunders in Marbella and hopes to return to the ring this summer. Fury is known for antagonizing rival heavyweights, especially when it is close to fight time, but is himself nowhere near ready for a fight.

Talks of a comeback have been in the works for a while, but his unpredictability compounded by a series of hearings for misconduct and drug use, makes it questionable whether he will be back in the ring as quickly as he says. The 6ft 9 inches motormouth is well known for his offensive language and taunting words. He adds interest to the sport because of his reckless and confrontational antics, but has lost his championship glory to a man whose stock has risen above Fury, and will rise much more if Joshua beats Klitschko tomorrow at the Wembley arena . Fury defeated Klitschko in 2015, but that defeat will not rank as highly as a convincing defeat in the hands of Joshua will.
Fury is documented to have mental health problems, but that won’t stop Joshua from being angered by the photoshop of him as a dog which has been tweeted and shared around in a gimmick that will want people to see Fury back in the ring. A fight between Fury and Joshua is one the public will want to see if Joshua is successful tomorrow as many believe he will, but that fight is still a long way away. Fury will need to come back and shake off the rust against at least two highly ranked opponents before he can dream of sharing a ring with Joshua. If Fury has mental health issues, his gimmicks are no surprise, but will still contribute to the interest in his career for as long as he and hs team claim it is still alive. In the meantime Joshua is the man everybody is interested in.
