TYSON FURY INCLUDED IN SPORTS PERSONALITY LIST BUT HAS NO CHANCE OF VICTORY

Tyson Fury has been added to the list of this years boxing personality of the year, and joins Andy Murray who sealed Britain’s first Davis Cup title in 79 years with a 6-3, 7-5, 6-3 victory over Belgium’s Goffin in Ghent on Sunday. Along side the list is Jessica Ennis Hill after securing a world championship win in August. There is Mo Farah, who won two gold medals at the world championships, Lewis Hamilton, Mat Wilcock, Adam Peaty, and a few others.

Now there are serious questions as to why Fury has been added to the list, though more serious reasons why he will not win it. Sports personality of the year is exactly that, the person with the best personality and most touching and impressive achievement in the sport. Tyson Fury did well to win the world heavyweight championship and unseat long reigning champion, Wladimir Klitschko. That feat cannot be taking away from him. Against all odds in the champions backyard, he made life very difficult for the champion and took his three belts. Unbelievable!

However, when put into perspective, Klitschko is 39 and at the tail end of his career. He has been a dignified champion, while Fury has been nothing but a loud mouth machine who knows no limits to his behavior. The giant gypsy man is deluded into thinking he is the re-incarnation of Mohammed Ali, making ludicrous comparisons with the former American legend of boxing who had far more class and intelligence than Fury can ever dream of. Fury has not held back on making ridiculous comparisons between homosexuality and Paodephilia in his strange rant claiming that the world is under the claws of the devil and an apocalypse is nigh.

In his distorted view, the legalization of Paedophilia is all that is left to complete the devil’s mission of establishing full reign on the earth and act as a catalyst to biblical reports of Amargaddon. Fury’s team need to tell their man to get a grip on life and focus on his boxing. Winning the title is one thing, defending it successfully and representing it with dignity is another. I would eat my hat if he wins the British Sports personality of the year . The British public is smart enough to know the difference between winning a title and having a personality worthy of celebration- which Fury painfully lacks. The new so called world champion has already said he will not want to fight David Haye at any point next year, but would rather vacate than fight him. What kind of champion does he expect to be talking the sort of rubbish he does? A world champion takes on all worthy comers and Fury needs to develop maturity overnight. They say you can’t teach an old dogs new tricks, and I think this certainly applies to Fury.
