Thomas Markle has renewed his plea to see his grandchildren , after attacking Oprah Winfrey of “taking advantage” of “weakened” Prince Harry and using him to build her own network.
In a bombshell interview with Australia’s 60 Minutes, the 76-year-old estranged grandad, pleaded to see his grandchildren , telling the world that he is not an axe murderer, and that even axe murderers get visitors in jail. His point raises a wider issue of whether it is acceptable for women to deny their parents sight of their children over personal disputes between them.
Mr Markle also defiantly said in the interview that Oprah could sue him but he believes she’s been “playing” his daughter Meghan Markle.

The criticism is one of a few others some analysts at The Eye Of Media.Com say holds weight , as the public cries by Thomas Markle puts Meghan Markle in a very difficult position from any angle of fair assessment.
Yet, the entirety of their historical feud makes it more complex than simple expectation for Meghan Markle to fix the beef between her and her father.
As embarrassing and annoying Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may find Thomas Markle’s televised interview, it highlights an undeniable fact that Meghan Markle has so strained a relationship with her father, that she has not allowed him to see any of his grandchildren. Her critics say it also detracts from the integrity and credibility of the book she has published about fathers and sons.
Thomas Markle goes further to attack Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by stating that they have both ghosted their families, identifying with the royal family who have fallen out with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as a result of their televised public attacks on them. Thomas Markle has already made his view known that the allegation that someone in the royal family expressed concern of how dark the colour of their child’s skin would be was just a stupid dumb thing someone may have said which was not necessarily racist.
In an interesting exploration of the topic, this publication will be this week be examining a few real life situations in black families where the issue of complexion has arisen in speculations made by the parents of the black girl, as to how dark the colour of the baby’s skin may be when they are born.
Mr Markle’s public support for the royal family in the dispute with Duke and Duchess Sussex will make a reconciliation between them far less likely now, but continue to look very bad for Meghan Markle whose fall out with her father is an open book. Reconciling with a man who openly discredits her testimony of feeling suicidal and being ignored, on top of allegations of racism, will be too difficult a psychological challenge for the Duke and Duchess Of Sussex to overcome.
However, professionals examining the whole royal feud are split on who to blame in the fall out between Meghan Markle and her father, Thomas Markle. Some believe Thomas Markle went too far in publicly criticising his daughter, but most believe it looks bad on Meghan that her father can’t see his grandchildren.
Thomas Markle’s analogy that even axe murderers have visitors in jail will resonate with many decent minds, and also raises a wider issue of society as to whether women should use personal disputes from allowing their parents from seeing their children.
Speaking to Channel 9’s Tom Steinfort, Thomas accused Oprah of tricking Harry into revealing things on TV that he shouldn’t have said.
“I have things to say. Oprah Winfrey, for one, I think is playing Harry and Meghan,” he claimed
“I think she is using them to build her network and build her new shows and I think she’s taken advantage of a very weakened man and has got him to say things that you just shouldn’t be saying on television.
“She will disagree of course, and she may even sue me, I don’t care. But the bottom line is she is working Harry.”
Elsewhere in his bombshell interview, Thomas said he was “disappointed” to have found out about his new baby granddaughter Lilibet’s birth after Meghan and Harry put out their public statement.

Asked if it hurts for him to be separated from Meghan, Harry and their two children, Thomas said: “Of course it hurts, there are axe murderers in prison and their family comes to see them.

Thomas then compared himself to Harry’s father Prince Charles, insisting they’ve both been ‘ghosted’ by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
“I think we would get on quite well [if we went for a drink together] and I think it’s unfortunate what’s happened to him as well. He seems like a likeable guy and I appreciate the fact that he walked my daughter down the aisle. I could certainly not have asked for a better replacement, although I would have liked to do it myself,” Thomas said.
“I see them both ghosting their families completely and now they are alone in a huge house where they can probably accommodate 20 people in but it’s just the four of them. I don’t think they are going to have relatives over for a barbecue next week or next month. I don’t know why.”

“Do you still love your daughter?” asked Tom.
“Of course I do. I love my other children, I love my other daughter and I love my son,” said Thomas.

“I have no idea,” Thomas explained. “Like I said, I have not spoken to her until two days before they got married when I was lying in a hospital bed, that’s the last conversation we had. I’ve not spoken to them since.”
Thomas has never met son-in-law Harry but lied to him over the phone when media reports emerged proving Thomas had collaborated with a paparazzi agency to stage pictures of himself for cash in the run-up to the Royal wedding.
“I’ve apologised a hundred times for it,” Thomas continued.
“I’m not bitter, I’m confused. I just don’t have the answer. I want an answer. If I had done something terribly wrong that would be fine but I haven’t. I just want an answer.
“I don’t know if anybody that’s that cold to do this and now Meghan’s doing it to me and Harry’s doing it to his father. That’s a cold thing to do and it’s even more cold to do it to the queen, who is in her nineties. That’s a cold thing to do.”
