THERESA MAY LEADS IN FIRST MP VOTES

BY BEN KERRIGAN

Theresa May leads in first pm votes cast by Mp’s.

Theresa May has won the first round of the votes by Mp’s, with 165 out of 329 votes. Andrea Leadsome came second. And Gove came third with 46 votes.

Other Mp’s in the race were eliminated from the contes with too few votes. May, has confidentially claimed that she has what it takes to unite a wounded party, as well as successfully lead Britain out of the EU.

Gove, a leading Brexit campaigner, has always maintained that the next prime minister should be a Brexiter, not that his views should count much.

This is the same man who at the last minute stabbed Boris Johnson in the back despite being one of his chief supporters for the prime ministers post.
Little weight should be attached to his weak biased view, since he already has lost credibility for the post.

The few votes he received tells a story. As for Theressa May, she is building up a credible lead that somewhat makes the rounds remaining, a formality.

May looked a confident and respectable leader when interviewed on Preston on Sunday, two days ago. She seems to have a strong and balanced perspective on how to handle the Brexit voting outcome which rocked both the Conservative and the Labour party.

She also, even as a Remain supporter, will have what it takes to negotiate Britain’s interests whilst we are outside the EU. Theressa Mays lead I’m these first round of MP votes is a promising sign of her eventual victory.
