The Queen has no reason to get involved in the rift between Thomas Markle and his daughter Meghan Markle, because in all honesty, he created the problem himself.
Markle was again up to his usual annoying moves by going on Good Morning Britain to ask his daughter to get in touch with him. He does not seem to realise that he mocked his relationship up with his daughter, and he has to give her time to patch it up at her own time. It wasn’t years ago when Mr. Markle was revealed to have been cooperating with a paparazzo without his daughter’s consent , leading to an article in the Daily Mail that surely caused embarrassment to the Royal family.
. The admission by the paper not to know whether mr. Markle was paid for the story must have been the final nail in the coffin, because what this meant was that there was a possibility he may have pulled a fast stunt to make money off his daughter’s back.
Ofcourse, mr Markle may have not got paid for the story, but the idea of him faking a press story and pretending to have consented to it went down very badly with the royals. The press and the royals has never been a joking matter. His other daughter Samantha claimed there was no pay for it, but nobody would confirm otherwise even if they had got paid for it. This move had already thoroughly embarrassed his daughter, her then fiancee, Prince Harry, and the royal family as a whole. Mr. Markle’s daughter Samantha Markle, and some of her relatives added fuel to the fire by going on Twitter, and on British television, to defend her father’s actions.
“The bad press over my father doing staged photos is my fault,” Samantha Markle said. “The media was unfairly making him look bad, so I suggested he do positive photos for his benefit and the benefit of the royal family. We had no idea he would be taken advantage of. It was not for money.”
Meghan Markle is not your conventional royal in terms of her heritage. Coming from a divorced background, where there has been tension in the family makes her very different. The last thing she needed was a father who would cause any controversy. Thomas’s interview with this morning on British television may have aroused sympathy in many minds, but hie still went as far as describing his daughter as controlling. Being controlling is not a positive adjective. A better term could have been strong, or influential. Things must be pretty bad if Meghan couldn’t even find words to say to her dad, especially if she doesn’t know if those words would end up in the press.
Meghan is in an awkward position because she wouldn’t want any further embarrassment from her dad, but it also wouldn’t go down well if she were to cut him off indefinitely. Unless she is prepared to disown her dad completely in the full glare of the public. Thomas Markle says he has text his daughter everyday, but he needs to give her a break. Texting everyday is unnecessary when no response has been forthcoming. Her poor dad may be panicking very much, but the royal family may still be recovering from the nightmare he created.
