THE FATE OF A £3M LOTTERY SCRATCH CARD WIN

Winning the national lottery is a rare occurrence, but it millions have been lucky enough to somehow achieve this unusual gift.

It is even more rare to win a million on a scratch card. Most who have bought one have never come up with any significant win.

However, 49 year old Susan Richards was fortunate enough to win £3m on a scratch card she purchased in Rochford, Essex and ascribes the experience to fate.

The Carer had just finished a night shift when she popped into her local Sainsbury’s to pick up some food. Randomly, she decided to buy a £10 ticket and came up trumps.

Susan, who has been a carer for 3 years, said: “It would be an understatement to say I am on cloud nine, I’m on cloud 3 million! I just can’t believe it’s happened to little old me but looking back, it’s almost like fate had decided I was going to win.It all started with me even being in the. It had been a long night shit and I really was in two minds whether to go to the supermarket. Thank goodness I did. Then I wasn’t going to treat myself to the scratch card, but when I put my hand in my pocket, I pulled out the exact change, four £, one £1, one 50p, a couple of 20 p’s, and a 10p. Taking this as a sign, I had a quiet chuckle to myself and bought the treat and left the shop”.

She played the £250m cash spectacular scratch card then headed home before discovering she had won the big prize. ”I was in a total state of shock and got out of my car and asked to see the manager. I think he could see from the look in my face that something serious had happened, especially when I showed the scratch card to him. He was kind and helped me ring Camelot from the office so they could verify that I was the winner of £3m.

Once she verified the win, she broke the news to her partner of ten years, Barry Maddox, then her two sons who joined in her celebrations. Susan believes her late father was looking down on her because he always said he will one day win the lottery and take the family abroad to the States. ” sadly, it didn’t happen to him but as I sat there in my car trying to compute I’d won £3m, a little white feather drifted down to the windscreen. I don’t care what anyone says, that was my dad letting me know he was celebrating for me up there”.

It is a very spooky story that begs the question of whether this was pure chance of if indeed it is possible her dad set her up. The puzzle is that if this is the case why don’t all our loved ones get us lottery wins from up there, eh? There have been television shows hosted by prominent mediums and psychics who have claimed to talk to the dead, with their family members seemingly moved and touched by the experience. However, most of us relegate such shows to the trash bin of ‘set ups’ and make belief. Should we rethink our position o this?

Lucky Susan now plans to take her family to America to fulfill her late father’s promise. She also plans to help her two sons in property and achieve stability for everyone. The national lottery have helped fund over 200 grants in arts, sports, education, charity including IT courses to people with disability. What a great job Camelot has done. Her story is so touching, and we at The eye of Media wish her the very best of luck!
