Stronger Medication Required For Depressed England Fan After World Cup Crash

By Gabriel Princewill-

An Essex man has been given stronger medication to help him cope with England’s  disappointing crash out of the 2018 world cup. The 45 year old from Rayleigh Essex contacted the Eye Of Media.Com to ask us to express his disappointment with England’s crash out of the world cup.

45 year old Miles Jackson from Rayleigh in Essex said England’s defeat to Croatia worsened his medical condition of depression, thereby forcing him to strengthen the dose of medication he normally takes to help him battle his battle with depression.

Jackson’s girlfriend,  36 year old Nicole Andrews, contacted The Eye Of Media.Com on Tuesday evening , asking us to feature her boyfriend’s view that England is escaping criticism for letting English football fans down last week Tuesday after gaining an early lead.

Jackson, who sounding inebriated in the first call, said he would prefer to speak to us today, Wednesday , to express his pain and the effect England’s loss has had on him medically. His stated ordeal is ostensibly comical, but this guy is seriously disappointed. It is no joke.

”England really let me down, I can’t stand the way everyone is saying they done well for getting to the semi finals., a sorrowful Jackson today. They should have beat Croatia at least 2-0 if not 3-0. The result was disappointing, there was no excuse for losing to Croatia.  My depression got so bad, I had to go to the doctors to get a higher level of medication. I was previously on  citalopram, but I am now on setralin, which is much stronger.

Strong: Sertralinine

”I am not happy that everyone is saying that we done well for getting to the semifinals, because we had an easy group. Bottom line is that we should have beaten Croatia, the team just sat back and got lazy for the rest of the game. We got one goal up so let’s just seat back and defend, that was well bad! I was so gutted that Croatia beat me, I couldn’t watch the last 5 minutes of the game.”

England got to the semi finals of the world cup in Russia after beating Columbia in the quarter finals stage of the universally watched global sports tournament.

In the next game against Croatia, England succumbed to Croatia’s greater tenacity by loosing 2-1 after an impressive and exciting 1-0 lead in the first 5 minutes of the game.  In the 68th minute of the game, England’s fortune began to Wane  after they conceded a goal to Croatian’s Ivan Perisic.

Both teams were subsequently into extra time where England’s fate was sealed  in the 109th minute of extra time after striker, Mario Mandzukic forced England to trail Croatia , making nonesense of the early lead the Three Lions had secured.

” I just couldn’t handle it, and it hurts me to see people praising England for doing well when they actually were lucky.

”Gary Southgate is one of England’s best ever managers, but he should have done better. He didn’t utilise our players well enough . I wasn’t the only one affected, I saw a lot of red faces lighting up fags about 5 minutes before the game ended. It was so heart breaking, I am struggling to get over it. I have supported England all my life and always have so much faith in them, but they let me down big time, big time! I hope I will be able to cope with the next few days”.

YOUNG

The English team is filled with young and inexperienced players at elite level, and they produced their best ever performance in 28 years. England as a country was more united and expectant  as a result than it has been for decades. The level of togetherness was palpable but short lived.   Croatia dashed the collective hopes of an optimistic footballing nation, dumping England out of a tournament that provided their best chance of winning in so many years.

Gareth Southgate is one of England’s best ever mangers, but he truly could have been more creative with his permutation of players in England’s most consequential game in over two decades. What’s done is done and this story is more a satirical expression of the effect football can have on some of England’s extreme fan base.

The Eye Of Media.Com has advised Jackson to accept  the world cup is just a game, even with its immense level of drama and emotive impact. The world cup is essentially a game for our enthralment and appreciation of relative talent and sporting ability. The element of chance and opportunity grabbing is as integral to the  sport as fitness and execution is.

The latter was a  conspicuous shortcoming of the English side in the Croatian game, but what it really revealed was that England were not ready to win the world cup. It cannot be denied that England benefited from an easier route in the group stages,  but easier routes also do not guarantee success. The overall result was good, but could have been better with higher levels of precision and durability from the England Squad.

Gareth Southgate has work to do if his team is to excel in the Euros of Quatar, the England Squad will have to improve if they are to win those championships with France And Belgium in the competition. As for pitiful Jackson, he will have to learn not to put so much faith in a sporting team if he suffers from depression, but it is worth the English football team realising that their performance can affect some fans seriously. They must realise that their heavy wage packages demands their best possible performance in every tournament in which they participate.
