Southend Crack Addict Steals Our Android Phone And Goes On The Run

By Eric King-

A Southend Crack addict last Saturday stole the android phone of one of our writers during an invited visit and observation of crack heads at a crack den in the area.

Matt Lawton from the Southend area had joined some of his addicted pals in engaging us in conversation about the problem of crack and heroine in the area, and how some addicts, including himself are battling to beat the habit. However, the addict described as a ”compulsive thief” by one of his co smokers, seized a convenient moment to steal an Android phone he took from the table during conversation at the notorious York Road, known for its fair share of crime and even murders. He asked to borrow the phone and use, and was trusted to do so and return it, as he was initially within view of the writer from whom he borrowed it.

However, moments later, he blatantly ran out of the house with the phone, claiming to be rushing to pick up some money owed to him. When chased and asked for the phone, he shouted ”it is in the kitchen charging”, but there was no sign of the phone in the kitchen. Two of his own friends saw him run out of the flat with the phone in his hand, as he disappeared . He has not returned to the flat since. Lawton was called on his own mobile phone several times, but the notorious thief declined to answer the phone.

The eye of media.com had two members of our team at the crack den based at the notorious where we have formed a connection with a few crack heads in the area. There are several other joints where crack and heroine addicts congregate to ‘get high’ , this was just one of them. Essex police has been informed, and a statement has been given, but it is not clear whether the witnesses will give a statement to support our writer and hold their scummy mate to account for his shameful behaviour. However, we have taken the step to expose him and ridicule him for being so stupid not to imagine that we would expose him. Lawton was well aware of what we do, but only from our mouths and those of his smoking peers. It will be no surprise if he can’t read to save his life, but one thing for sure is that he would not bother to read our site. His main concern would be to seel that phone to get his next fix, so can continue to be high.

During our fortnightly visits, we sit in the sitting room and discuss with the flat owner who claims to be an occasional ”piper” (crack smoker), but not a crack addict. The man who insists on anonymity is admittedly more of a drinker than anything, and does go days with touching the addictive crack. His friends confirm this, but he regularly indulges in smoking crack from time to time when passed to him. He very rarely pays for it, but often obliges when offered. The man is among a select few who are able to give an intelligent account of the lifestyle of hard core crack heads, explaining to us how influence can impact people in the way it impacted him. Some of the stories we have heard are incredible, especially when we look at the background and history of various crack and heroine addicts. Some have claimed to have been misled in their young teens into believing crack was just a sophisticated form of smoking cannabis.

”Some people played pranks on us when we were 14, telling us this was a classy type of cannabis”, one male crack head told us during our last visit. However, most admit to knowing what they were smoking, but believed it to be the cool thing for tough guys in the area they were raised. The first time I smoked crack, I was in a house where everybody had run out of fags, there was no weed, and one of the guys pulled out the pipe with some crack. He presented it as being the same as cocaine, which I already was using’. I was only 15 at the time, young and naïve. a 34 year old told the eye of media.com. Crack heads from other parts of Southend, Essex and London have told similar stories with different details . Research like this enable sus to know how to address the crack problem by training our kids from a young age.
