Son Charged With Father’s Murder In Moorebank Australia

By Aaron Miller-

A son has been charged with his father’s murder in Moorebank, Australia. The murder was caused by an argument over the computer, after the father disconnected the home Internet.

Daniel Chapman, 20, was arrested at his home  on Sunday night in Moorebank,  Sydney, whilst his father, Stephen John Chapman, was dying.

Daniels use of the computer had regularly caused a dispute in the family, police stated. I believe the son uses it quite regularly, and when he’ s asked to come to the dinner table, he continued on the computer, detective Chief inspector Ken Hardie said yesterday, Sunday.

Demented Chapman grabbed a knife as the argument escalated, and began stabbing his father. His lawyer Adam Ly,  indicated mental health issues in his opening submission to the court, stating the case to be very, very sad.

Ly later told the eye of media.com ” this is tragic news for the family, particularly the mother who has a son in jail and a husband deceased”. I can’t say much now except that it is very shocking and sad for all who knew the family”.

Mental health issues are a broad topic.and don’t necessarily mean an individual is no longer in charge of their faculties.

It can extend to enormous stress,  long standing anger or bitterness issues, and a high temper. However bad either or a combination of these components may be, such action is inexcusable.

Chapman is a graduate of Moorebank high school, so should have had more wisdom than to do something so evil and stupid. It should also be deemed consistent with logical reasoning that his father expected more of his son, for him to turn the Internet off.

The violent murder is an unfortunate reflection of disrespect he had for authority, though how much his so called mental state will have on mitigating the seriousness of his offence,  will be the subject of the court proceedings.
