Russian Ex Spy Sergei Skripal’s Miracle Escape From Russias deadly Plan

Russian ex-spy Sergei Skripal has finally been discharged from hospital, two months after being poisoned with a nerve agent in Salisbury.

The 66-year-old and his daughter miraculously escaped an evil death schemed against him by Russian assassins. The former spy had been found slumped on a park bench in the city on 4 March, with his daughter Yulia.

The news sparked outrage and plenty of tension between the Uk and Russia, with the EU and the U.S imposing sanctions on Russia. Russian diplomats were consequently expelled from the Uk and U.S, with other countries condemning Russia for the attack. Russia denied all involvement in the attack, but the fact he is known to have been a spy made Russia ‘s involvement highly suspicious. The The UK government said the poisonous attack had all the trade mark signs pointing to Russia.

Russia retaliated by expelling U.K and U.S diplomats from Russia, but that didn’t remove the hand of suspicion from them. Director of learning of nursing Lorna Wilkinson said treating the Skripals had been “a huge and unprecedented challenge”.

“This is an important stage in his recovery, which will now take place away from the hospital,” she said.

Russian ambassador to the UK Alexander Yakovenko welcomed the news that Mr Skripal had been discharged, and repeated his demand for consular access to the former spy and his daughter.

At a news conference at his official residence in London, Mr Yakovenko said: “We are happy that he is all right.” The Russian ambassador has previously claimed the UK is violating international law by not granting access to the Skripals.

“If they don’t want our assistance, that’s fine, but we want to see them physically,” he said.

Doctors kept the Skripals alive while their bodies could produce more enzymes to replace those that had been poisoned. The pair’s survival is a bit of a miracle, considering the fact the intention of those who poisoned them was to kill them.
