Russian television online network are in an ongoing verbal and psychological war with the western media.
The Russian media outlet has often been accused of spreading propaganda news against the West, and now their chief editor, Margarita Girogan, fought back against Western media.
She said western media scared UK advertisers away from advertising with RT by frightening them with the prospect of bad publicity.
REVENUES
The publication boss insisted that their revenues had not been affected by the withdrawals from advertising companies.
Instead, she indicated that the allegedly unfair bias against them has led to more interest in RT due to curiousity about the growing feud between RT and western media outlets.
LIES
Accusing western media of lies, she insisted that no evidence has been presented to prove any lies.on their part in the content of their publication.
RT is sponsored by President Putin’ s administration, and have for a while been at odds with western media.
Their mere affiliation with Putin automatically makes them very unlikely to criticise or speak up against any of Putin’s policies.
Inevitably, this creates tension between them and Western media outlets since they may be seen as his media representatives.
CAUGHT
However, the unless RT are caught defending or justifying any reprehensible acts conducted presently of in the past by he Russian government , they must be allowed to operate like any free media outlet .
ALLEGATIONS
Allegations and counter allegations against fellow media outlets only undermines the integrity of the media as a whole. It eventually could lead to bias reporting, which must always be avoided.
OPINIONS
Differences of opinion is inevitable in any assessment , but wherever dishonesty of prejudice is identified , it should be highlighted and rebuked.
RT was recently rebuked by ofcom for inviting an anti EU panel to discuss the EU without inviting anyone to represent an opposing view.
The broadcasters said they tried to find guests with opposing views to join her panel but was not successful in their plans. RT have equally accused a Sunday Times journalists of deliberately misrepresenting them.
RT have in past times clashed with the BBC and Sky over allegations of biased reporting.
OBSERVATIONS
The eye of media.com have two writers dedicated to observing the articles of RT and those of feuding outlets with them.
We are also aware of two freelancers in the North of England and an editor in Scotland analysing the publication and publications feuding with RT.
